The product label says the board contains Xylenes and Ethyl Acetate, both toxic chemicals. Why would Target sell a food serving board that is unsafe for food consumption? High levels of exposure can cause headaches, dizziness, confusion, and changes in balance. In very high levels, it can cause unconsciousness and even death. Exposure You can be exposed to xylenes by breathing in vapors from gasoline, paint, and varnishes. You can also be exposed by eating or drinking food or water contaminated with xylenes.

This is a solid serving dish and has a nice weight to it. I used it for a cheese ball and crackers at the holidays but there are lots of uses. I would recommend this

Really nice board I put Boursin cheese in the middle with crackers and other snacks.
