Back in the day chips were flat and that was boring. So we made a chip that zigged and zagged and shared it with the world. Made with just three ingredients: potatoes, vegetable oil and salt. Because when you have ridges, the crunches are crunchier and the dipping strength multiplies, and your chips become Ruffles.

If you’re a chip + dip person, Ruffles are basically your soulmate in snack form. The ridges? Perfect. They hold up like little flavor shovels unlike the other brands. I love them with French onion dip or tucked into a sandwich for that perfect salty crunch. They’re sturdy, crispy, and just the right amount of salty. Honestly, they’re the kind of chips that disappear *real* fast in my house.

These are one of my favorite brands of chips. They tatse WONDERFUL. When I but these specific brand of Ruffles chips I ALWAYS pair them with cottage cheese. Plain Ruffles and cottage cheese are the best type of snack when looking for something plain and easy.

Recently I purchased two bags of these and discovered that 25-30% of the chips were made with rotten potatoes. There were black fungal spots all over the chips. Both bags were like this. Disgusting!

The texture of these has changed within the last year or so. I'm not sure WHEN date-wise because I don't buy them every day. They're super greasy, they don't have the crunch/snap they once did, and they're very hard. We have switched to Wavy Lay's - much better in taste and texture. Ruffles needs to fix the thickness/hardness of the chips Z& back like they were originally. Also - they come crumbled with twice or 3x fried - those pieces of will make you barf from the grease on your tongue/roof of your mouth. Don't eat the extra fried bits!! Sometimes those pieces aren't all the way down in the bag, so look before biting.

I like these chips, but I have to eat them sparingly. They always injure the roof of my mouth…they are way too hard, or maybe I have sensitive gums. Either way, the roof of my mouth is cut up, sore and swollen after eating these chips. It always happens and that’s why I only eat them maybe once every two years. Right now I’m rinsing with peroxide to keep food particles out of the cuts so they can heal. I was only able to eat ramen noodles yesterday because my mouth is so sore 🤦🏾♀️.
