Rugby Striped Kids' Comforter Set - Pillowfort™

This is definitely a ‘get what you pay for’. I got this set for my toddler because he’s a toddler and doesn’t need expensive bedding. But the stitching on the comforter is extremely off on parts, and the ink ran in the pillowcase. Not what I’d expect from target. As you can see on the pictures, the blue stitching was supposed to be on the blue stripe, not the white. It’s not even on a straight line in some parts.

I’m really disappointed in this comforter. It is a dull, almost heather blue, not Navy. It is not soft or comfortable feeling. I don’t like the look of the seams sewn into it. This is the third or fourth Pillowfort comforter I have bought, and I have always loved them. Also, I have the matching hamper and lamp in my son’s room already. Well, I expected them to match since they’re from the same company, but they do not at all. Way off, and I just don’t like it anyway. It looks faded. So that’s why I’m disappointed. Now I have to keep searching and find time to return this. And I’ll probably end up paying more.

There are a number of 3 inch long stitches in blue thread in the middle of the white stripes. This is hideous! They should have done the blue on the blue stripes (they did some of those and they aren't noticeable) or stitch in a ditch as a person with any sewing experience would do. Poor quality

We got this on sale, so I don't feel bad about the price. There are stitches through the body of the cover, as a means of quilting it, I suppose. But the stitching was way off so that blue thread runs randomly through the white stripes. I was going to accept this for the sale price, but then after the first wash, that blue thread bled all over. Terrible quality if you want something nice and long lasting. Fine to have as an extra cover for a kid room.

We love this pattern. We had the pattern and lost it in a move. Thankfully yall still carry it so my child can have it again!

I purchased this thinking it was just like the 2019 version--it isn't. The prior version is a soft microfiber-like fabric, and this is a rough cotton. The prior ones held up great, until our cleaner bled the fabric by washing in hot water. I also opened it, threw away all the packaging, and then realized that it came with about a 3" rip in it--which meant I couldn't return. I've had five of these total over the years (we have a short-term lake rental, and, these are in our bunk room), and I'm going to have to try to find something else now that is more affordable ($50 for this is insanity), and durable, especially for a kid's room with summer rental use. Very disappointed.

I agree with all the negative reviews. I too bought in the store and didn’t research it. I wish I had. First wash and it looks awful. Colors ran and faded. I am so incredibly upset it’s not even funny. I wanted to love this and I can’t

I liked the color very much of this comforter. However, it felt very stiff. I thought washing it may soften it up. Washed it in a front loader as it said to do. Came out with the stuffing all bunched up in a corner.

I bought the green and blue sets. They're pretty soft and plush. I love that the fabric is cotton too.

Absolute garbage. The filling comes thru the fabric and creates balls of fiber everywhere.

The print is very cute, however the gray looks more beige in person. I was a disappointed with the color.

I love the navy blue rugby nautical print, the thickness, and the quality of the shams. The fabric is not the most luxurious and see why it’s advertised as a kids product. It’s kind of scratchy but it’s not see through. As long as the colors don’t bleed when it’s time to wash it’ll be more than worth its price. Overall I do like it and would purchase it again for a kid’s room. I put the full/queen on a full mattress and it fits great.

The navy color isn’t very navy at all and definitely does not match the Pillowfort brand navy and white rugby stripe blackout curtains which I would say are true navy in color. Don’t really like the feel of the comforter either. Can’t really describe how it feels though. Just don’t like how it feels on my hands.

I like that it's cotton but inside filling (polyester) keeping coming out. I am not sure how. My kid's jammies are covered in poly thread every morning. I feel like it's a health hazard... Maybe there needs to be another layer between the cover and filling. I like the design and fabric but the filling needs to be fixed.

Washed once and the colors faded and bleed. Terrible product

The material is very rough. Not comfortable at all for bedding.

Fooled me twice Pillowfort. Again after one wash the comforter came apart at the seams. Pillowfort sheets seem to be fine after multiple washes but the comforters need work.

I ordered the gray and white stripe to match the aqua and white comforters I bought years ago. The stripes are thinner than past ones in this line and the gray was a little brown/taupe in hue. Overall, it’s good quality and works for my son’s shore house bed.
