After collapsing in the middle of a journey, the bewildered protagonist awakens to the sound of someone screaming for help. All around them rise the trees of an unfamiliar forest, and they realize they’ve forgotten everything but their own name.

Another scream brings them to their senses. The protagonist rushes toward the voice and saves a young girl from a monster attack. They return her safely to Rigbarth, a quiet frontier town surrounded by great natural beauty. There they receive a warm welcome from the friendly residents and decide to join SEED, the local peacekeeping organization, until their memories return. Thus begins their new life as a ranger who protects Rigbarth from threats great and small.

One day, they receive a special mission: discover what’s disrupted the region’s flow of rune energy...

In the sleepy border town of Rigbarth, mysterious events are unfolding, affecting the runes that govern the balance between humanity and nature. This game is so confusing, never got into the tune factory, but once I started playing, it give to little to no instruction on what your doing. They throw you into this world and tell you your quest, but there are so many other missing details in between that you have to get so you can proceed on with the game. Worse game I have been bought and going to return it.

Performance is awful, which is so disappointing because I love this series. But there is noticeable input lag and CLEAR frame rate issues and stuttering. I hope they patch it, but I’m not hopeful. Unless you’re dying to play this game, wait until it’s on sale or just skip it.

Base on Art Style

I prefered RF4 Art style (format) I don't really like the bright color, it will make me nauseous. Of all the RF, I only prefer the DS version, especially the 4th. I wish we can adjust the color contrast so I don't have to put it down often just so I won't feel sick. I will still give a 4 star so they will continue to make more RF game in the future. Game wise, I hope it's just as fun as the 4th. ( I have to play it slow thou. Unlike the 4th, I've spend sleepless night enjoyed playing. )

I've played every game in the series, so I was understandably super hyped about this one. Thankfully, it's hit all of those marks throughout my entire playthough. I'm playing on a switch lite and haven't had any real issues with lag - the only time i've noticed it at all was transitioning from outside to town (and even that is like... 2 seconds maybe). Overall, I absolutely adore the characters, dungeons, and the protagonist so I am a happy camper. Hopefully the next rune factory comes soon, because I'm going to finish this one much too soon.

I was super excited for the new game, however, gameplay wise it’s terrible. You lag half the time and characters don’t even load properly. Expected more out of this game. I’m still going to play it but expect to get frustrated

Gameplay Quality Poor

I love the runefactory series and this one does not cut it. The game play requires you to use both joysticks to get around and that gets really confusing when you then need to talk to someone or perform a task but have to be in the perfect position to be able to move your right hand back to the A button. It's very frustrating. Also, the save function doesn't work the same, so if you're in the middle of gameplay and attempting to save in a data slot with previously auto saved data, the game will not save your current spot and will spit you back out to where you last saved. It wasted a full hour of play and didn't save any of my progress. The jokes that the townspeople make don't make sense. The cut scenes are extremely slow. I'm really not a fan, extremely disappointing after paying for preorder.
