I’m 49 and my life just changed for the better.
I just switched from a cup to a disc and the change is immediate and life changing. No more worrying about containing my perimenopausal torrential flow and having my disc becoming un suctioned at an inconvenient time.

changed my life
So nice to not have to worry about leaking that time of month. Also love that it is nontoxic.

Please make a medium size disc
I have been a long time cup user up until recently when the stem on my cup broke and I only had a disc available. To my surprise I actually prefer the disc because it feels more comfortable. However, I do think the cup and the disc have drastically different insertion methods so don’t get discouraged if it takes you a few tries before inserting successfully. There are pros and cons to both in my opinion. The auto-dump is nice when it happens with the disc but it doesn’t always happen. That being said, the disc is much messier to empty no matter how hard I try to be careful the cup is definitely less messy. So if you are going out, empty your disc before you leave home. I do have heavy periods the first 2-4 days and so I do enjoy having the blue disc but I do think it is just slightly too big sometimes to be comfortable while inserting. So I ordered the pink disc, I can already tell it is too small, I wish SAALT would make a medium size between the two because I would order it immediately. In regard to sizing, I think this is very personal and unique to every individual and whether or not you’ve had kids is not a good estimation of which item you should order in my opinion… I’ve had two kids and sometimes getting the blue disc inserted can be tricky. I do wish they offered more darker colors because after years of use the cup/disc tend to fade/stain a bit. Dark colors like black, green, navy, etc would be wonderful. While this won’t impact its use I don’t like when it starts to look stained which happens quite quickly with the light colors.

Not crazy for this
I didnt care for this one. I didnt like how it would empty slightly every time i used the bathroom. I got this one to try in comparison to the cup and i learned that i prefer the cup.

Great but messy
The reason I have waited so long to try this product is the same reason I likely won’t use it as much. I can say without a doubt as a first time user this is the easiest menstrual disc I have tried. I have nothing but great things to say about this product. It does not leak. It holds several tampons worth, easy to insert and take out, no discomfort. The only thing preventing me from being a regular user is the fact that this product is inherently MESSY but that is a personal issue, nothing bad reflecting on the product quality at all.

Great alternative to the cup
There was a learning curve and I only got comfy with insertion and removal after the fourth or fifth time (Reddit is your friend!). But now I’m so glad I persisted because it’s so much more comfortable than the cup, reduced IUD dislodging risk, and I could actually have sex with it in yay. I have a medium height cervix and tilted uterus and the regular disc worked fine.

Not the best on the market
As a previous disc user, I wouldn't recommend this disc. There is no cut-out to make folding the disc easier so insertion is more difficult. The finger spot doesn't stay in place. When I tried to remove it, the finger spot had shifted and I couldn't grasp it. Removal was just as messy as other disc brands. The curved disc area is also very rigid compared with other brands and there is no way someone could have sex with this disc. There is no flexibility in the disc area to allow for penetration. Overall, I'm not a fan.

Game changer
From the moment I started using this disc I was very impressed with the user experience. It was very comfortable and once it was in I didn’t even notice it. I had been using another brand of disc that I wasn’t unhappy with but I had trouble with it staying in or leaking occasionally because of the size so I was very happy to find a disc that came in two sizes. The smaller size is just what I needed and I haven’t had any issues at all!

Better than a cup
I’ve used a cup from a different brand for years. It was always a little bit noticeable and recently felt more uncomfortable. I tried disposable discs and had a lot of leaking but this disc worked perfectly! It was easy to get the hang of and the notch makes for easy removal. I’m so glad I made the switch!

Life Changing!
This disc is seriously life changing. I’m in nursing school and have 14-15 hour days. I am so much less stressed about my period with the disc while at clinical or in lecture. It is comfortable, easy to put in and take out. Cannot say enough good things about this disc!

Not for me
I’m sure it’s a great product but I prefer my cup over this disc. I don’t know if it’s my anatomy or what but I can’t get it placed properly to collect discharged leading to a yucky mess. And the progress to get it placed feels a lot more awkward—like I’m performing a gymnastic routine…certainly not something I’m excited for my 2 & 6 year old to walk in on which anyone who is a mom knows is invariably going to happen.

Easy to use
I was expecting it to take a while to get used to after using a menstrual cup for many years however it was very straightforward and it was the first period without any leaks for a long time.

Loved it!
I tried this product hesitantly after receiving yet another UTI due to tampons. I was nervous at first but after practicing a few times application becomes easy and second nature. I’m able to wear the cup ALL DAY, which is so nice. I didn’t leak at all and what’s also nice is you can insert this right before your period so you can avoid ruining any clothes. What was also a pleasant surprise was I can’t even feel the cup was in. Normally with tampons I can tell and with the cup I couldn’t! One thing to keep in mind is I wouldn’t take the cup out unless you are at home and either in a tub or toilet as it can spill and make a big mess. I highly recommend switching to this cup!

Saalt Disc
Great purchase. This is my second saalt disc so I can have a backup. They're leakproof, easy to clean, easy to use, and they help the planet. I'm never going back to any other disposable period product.

Getting used to it
I’ve used a cup for a long time and decided to try out a disk just to see if I liked it. I do like it so far. It’s maybe a little easier to get in than the cup, and definitely easier to get out. I’m still getting used to the auto dump thing though. I usually don’t want it to because I worry about it making a mess, and it usually doesn’t when I pee but it has a couple times. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I worry about sneezing or something and causing a disaster. I think I’ll feel more confident with it after a few cycles, I’m just not there yet.

Love all my saalt products
I’ve had the cup for about a year and wanted to get the disc too, just to have another option. Both are great.

Finally!
I tried 3 different cups from other brands and would get frustrated with leaks. I finally decided to give a disc a try and read great reviews on this one. Let me tell you, this was a game changer for me. It works so much better than any cup I've tried. I thought it would be hard to put in, but it wasn't. I've had NO leaks. It almost seems too good to be true. It's just very freeing to not have to deal with tampons, and also be able to use something that I'm very confident won't leak.

No leaks
I've been using a few different period cups for about 10 years, but always had issues with leaks. Not enough to leak through anything, but enough to be annoying and require the back of the drawer panties. After having my first kid, my old cup was just not going to work anymore and I trawled the internet looking for the right cup for my new body. So many people recommended switching to a disc for persistent leaks with cups, so I finally decided to go for it. It's messy to change and requires some. . . digging around so get it out, but I can't feel it when it's in and I've had zero leaks. Consider me a convert.

After Inborn my Saalt cup
After Inborn my Saalt cup (the stem snapped off at an inopportune time) I decided to try the disc. I have all the regrets. Despite youtube videos and the Saalt academy I cannot get this to work and be leak free. Back up period underwear required. no blood in the disc, just the outside. honestly I'm so tired and fed up of washing myself and all my clothes that I think this will just go in the bin. Glad I tried, but this doesn't work for me. gutted.
