Second time I've accidentally clipped my baby's skin despite trying to be careful. These things are SHARP and no safer than regular clippers, just small. I threw them in the trash and have ordered an electric nail buffer instead.

Terrible, the plastic is so slippery! I couldn’t get a steady grip, which renders it useless when trying to carefully cut baby nails or squirmy toddler nails.

At first I thought these were cheap and I ended up really liking them to cut my newborn’s nails then I’d use a baby file to smooth out the edges. I only cut my kids nails when they were sleeping, it’s just so much easier than doing it on a wiggly baby or toddler. My once newborn is now 7 years old and the nail clipper just broke so I’m getting another for my youngest. If you cut your baby that’s on you! Don’t blame the clippers for your incompetence.

My baby is five months old. I’ve been using an electric nail file which takes about 30 minutes, because I was always scared to cut my baby. my baby nails were cut with this and three minutes and it was very easy to use. Really really happy with my purchase. And much more cost-effective than an electric nail file.

These nail clippers break my kids nails. Leaves the tips rough and cracks their nails when trimming. Needed nail clipper urgently but I will stick to Frida Nail Clipper, they are much better.

I bought these thinking they would prevent trimming too low and accidentally cutting skin. I lined up the nail too cut and didn't realize that one side of the clippers is farther down to the skin and must be angled properly and cut babies fingertip. It was awful. I'm never using again.

I have used these for years with my kids and have about 3 pairs scattered throughout. They are the perfect size to teach my older kids how to trim their own nails.

Trimming baby nails is so stressful. These Safety 1st clippers are small at the base and have a larger grip- making it more manageable negotiating the clippers. I received these through Stellar Product Testing and these are the first clippers I used on my baby. I used the file before this but the flipped are much more efficient. They aren't the highest quality feeling but for the cost & 2 coming in the pack- I definitely think these are worth it.

The wide, rounded handle made it very easy to control and the fact that they are so narrow made them the perfect size for baby's fingers. My hands are a women's size medium glove, for reference. My ten month old never stops moving and I've accidentally clipped his finger before with other clippers (So many tears. Mostly from me). I had no issue with these, thank goodness! They give a good clean snip, which leaves them less sharp than others that cut more like a scissor. I also appreciate the little triangle bit that is used as a lever to push the clippers together is solid and doesn't fall off like other baby nail trimmers I've used. They feel very high quality. Honestly, does Safety 1st make some for adults?!

I was initially looking forward to trying these nail clippers, especially since I had only used a different brand before. The fact that they come in a set of two is a nice touch. However, I was disappointed to find that they don't have a peephole. If you're confident about trimming your baby's nails without one, these might work for you. Personally, I prefer having that visibility to avoid any accidental cuts. I mostly use these as a backup, as they require more force than I expected. It's not as easy as I'd like it to be, and I find myself hesitant to use them on my toddler's nails for fear of cutting too short. Considering the difficulty and my apprehension, I'm unsure if I would recommend these to another mom with a young baby. The handle is ergonomic and easier to hold while trimming wiggly toddler fingers and toes. The curve of the clipper edge is the perfect shape to prevent sharp edges on the nails you are trimming. I like it but I do not like how small the white part is and how smooth it is, it slips right out of my hands while trying to cut my littles nails. I'd like it if it was wider and had grips on it so it wasn't so easy to slip out of your hands. Other than that it cuts perfect once you can get a good grip on it where it won't slip.

These nail clippers, while designed for use on small fingernails, definitely take some getting used to. The unique shape is intended to make them easier to grip while still allowing for a small cutting surface, meant to minimize the likelihood of cutting your child. However, it's a very different shape from any clippers I was used to in the past, which made them feel awkward to hold at first. Unfortunately, because of their small size, it was difficult to practice on myself to get used to them, so my older son ended up being my guinea pig before I tried them out on my 9 month old. I like that it has the little lip around the end of the handle that keeps the clippers locked in place, making it a little harder for small hands to open them. I have a 15 month old that is impossible to chase down for nail trims anymore. We previously used an electric nail file when he was a newborn. Now, that nail file is too loud, distracting, & takes too much time. I need something that is safe, effective, and quick to trim my son's nails. It was scary at first making the move from file to clippers but this product is so easy to use and is the perfect size for his little nails. As soon as he's still enough, I am able to secure his finger and trim his nail - and we're done! I love the multipack so we can have a spare when one is inevitably misplaced.
