[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As my son transitions from his 5 point harness to a high back booster the Safety 1st Grow and Go is a great next seat! Setting it up was a breeze, only needing to pop the back on. Before putting it in the car I adjusted the height of the backrest wings, which is easy to do with a simple push button on the back of the seat. We often have to do the great carseat shuffle when grandparents and our nanny help us out. It's a pretty slim profile so I have no trouble getting it properly installed in any car so far. I'm so pleased with how lightweight and easy it is to move from one car to another! We have also used it as a backless booster for my older kiddo to use it and it was a quick transition from the high back booster mode to backless booster mode. My son's favorite features are the cupholders, and I appreciate I'm not constantly passing his water bottle back to him! The narrow profile fit nicely with the other seats in our car. Best of all, my child was comfy with the adjustable height and backrest wings. He also really loved the cupholders. This is going to be a great seat to continue using as he grows! Setting up the car seat was easy, the slim profile and its light weight make it super convenient for busy moms. I have three kids in car seats currently so ease is my priority right now. Installation is a breeze compared to other car seats. My son fit comfortably in this booster seat and he even mentioned how fun it is to ride in versus his current car seat. The fabric comes off easily for the inevitable clean up. The only thing that could potentially be a con is that the backrest of the booster easily falls back when I take the booster out of the car- maybe that’s user error or just the design? Safety is very important in our family and our 5 year old has reached a point where her convertible car seat was too bulky due to recent growth spurt paired with our limited back seat space. It was too the point where we could no longer use the car seat due to the lack of space. My husband and I were both very surprised at how light the booster seat is and was very easy to install. The installation was such a breeze that it took less than a minute. Our 5 year old became comfortable very quickly in it and even taught herself how to use the vehicle’s seatbelt to strap herself into the booster. It made her feel like such a big kid and gave her such confidence to be able to buckle her self in and out of the vehicle, not to mention how much legroom she has now. The slim design has been a breath of fresh air and the easily detachable back will come in handy when it’s time to do take that off. We’re taking a family trip next month and we’re so excited to not have to lug around a heavy car seat with complicated installation.

We use it multiple times a day, and I am thoroughly impressed. The ease of installation was also impressive. Just place it on the seat and go. When she sits in it, she says it is very comfortable, and she loves that she has her own drink holders. She can buckle herself correctly with ease. I also loved how slender this booster is. I have 3 children aged 5 and under, so having room for other carseats is a must for me! I could easily fit my other two carseats next to it safely. When my other two graduate from the 5 point harness, I want to buy them this booster!

I took it out of the box, used the tabs to attach the top to the bottom and twisted the cup holders to attach them to the seat and it was ready for use. To install in the car, you just place it on the seat and loop the shoulder seat belt into the correct spot and you're done. The cup holders are great and fit several sizes of cups, from snack cups to water bottles. We will get a lot of use out of the adjustable headrest wings, since I have 3 kids in high back boosters and sometimes they like to switch it up. This seat is comfier than several other high back boosters I sampled in stores. Also, my daughter slept in it on a recent road trip and thinks it's comfortable. The booster was very easy to put together and very easy to put into my van. It also is very lightweight, making it easy to transfer it to another car, if needed. Design & Fit The narrow profile of this booster was a huge plus for us. With multiple kids in car seats, space in the back row is tight, and this seat created noticeably more room without compromising on comfort. It’s a great choice for larger families or anyone juggling multiple seats. Installation & Adjustment: Installing and adjusting the booster was fairly simple. The seatbelt guides were clear, and tweaking the headrest to get the right fit for my daughter was quick and smooth — no frustrating wrestling with the car seat, which any parent knows is a win. Comfort: The expandable backrest wings added nice side support, and my daughter seemed content and cozy on both short errands and longer drives. There were no complaints about the seat being too stiff or scratchy, so comfort gets a thumbs-up from both of us. What We Didn’t Love: The one thing I didn’t love was that the seat felt a bit lightweight compared to others we’ve used. We recently welcomed our third baby and I’m beginning to realize how important space saving options are. This booster is just that! We needed a slim option to place my oldest in the third row of our SUV all while saving space for our stroller. It’s slim and sleek design allow us to fit the seat perfectly without sacrificing needed space. This was our son’s first time transitioning to a booster and he enjoyed his comfortable ride. It is simple and easy for my son to get into, and he loving the independence it brings him. Added bonus is that it can convert to a backless booster for the future - we love an option that grows with your child. Something that is worth noting and that stands out, to me, is the expandable wings for their head support and comfort. We loved the ease of assembly and install as well as the belt guides and dual cup holders. If you’re a parent you know how important those cup holders are for those drinks and snacks on the go! The only thing I would change or prefer from this booster is added stabilization. We would love to see a latch system in place to keep the seat from shifting and to enhance the overall safety. Overall, we are satisfied with this product and look forward to its continuous use in our family!

So when the Stellar Review Panel sent us this seat, we were so excited to try something different with him. This booster seat has everything you need, without being too complicated. In the box, the seat came in 3 parts. I read over the instruction sheet attached to the seat, and I, a newly postpartum mom, was able to assemble it easily. The backrest locked right into base easily. Even after being assembled, it was fairly light, making install easy. Me and my husband even discussed how this seat would be awesome for someone who takes Ubers or taxis frequently, because it’s so light and easy to install. We have an infant as well and one of our concerns was space. This booster seat is more narrow than our previous, giving plenty of space between our son and our infant, that was a big bonus for us. My son usually hates his car seat but he actually said this one was more comfortable than his previous. The padded arm rests and narrow backrest made a difference for him, according to him. This booster seat is great. It isn’t super gimmicky, but it has everything you want from a booster seat. It’s compact, easy to assemble, lightweight, and it’s sleek design matches our vehicle seamlessly. We love the booster seat and we’ll definitely be buying another one for our second vehicle!

It was very easy to install and swap to other vehicles if needed. I was really impressed with the expandable backrest with wing because my child feels comfortable and I feel like my child’s safety was considered when making this booster seat due to children constantly growing. The narrow profile of the car seat helps take up less space than a typical booster seat without compromising the child’s safety. I also this this car seat is easier to clean than typical boosters the fabric was easy to wipe down and sanitize. My child also says this is more comfortable than their other booster seat so that’s always a win as long drives in some seats can be uncomfortable. Overall I would highly recommend this booster! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to have the opportunity to test the Safety 1st Grow and Go Booster through the Stellar Product Testing Panel for my tall (90th percentile) 6 year old. I will be the first to admit that I am very picky when it comes to car seat/booster safety. I haven’t been happy with the booster we were using and have been on the look out for a better fit for our family. Straight out of the box, the Safety 1st Booster was easy to snap together and extend to fit my son, even before reading the instructions. My son was immediately excited about the padding on the booster and thought it felt “much more comfortable” than his previous booster. The plastic does feel somewhat thin and lightweight compared to other boosters, which I wasn’t sure would feel substantial enough when installed. However, it was a breeze to install in my car and the slim profile fits nicely in my Subaru Outback, even with another convertible car seat next to it. The booster has many safety features that I look for for my kiddos to keep them secure and protected. I love the shoulder belt guide, which not only holds the shoulder belt at the appropriate level for his height but also makes it easy for my son to buckle himself in. The expandable backrest wings keep his head and neck protected and provide a place to rest his head if he falls asleep in the seat. Lastly, the lap belt is perfectly positioned over his legs, not over his belly like some boosters. He is 4’ tall with room to expand the booster even taller, so I’m confident this will last us at least a couple more years as a high back booster (which is my top priority). The booster is surprisingly lightweight and compact for its safety features, and this will definitely be my top choice when traveling by plane. I would love to see some crash test ratings for the booster, but as a new product I don’t believe they’re available yet. I’d be happy to update my review once I see the crash test performance, but I feel confident in the safety the seat provides for my precious cargo!!

I really liked this booster seat, it was so lightweight and easy to use! I really wish they would tell new parents not to buy the car seat that can be used multiple ways, because those tend to be bulky and heavy, plus by the time your kid is older, you probably have more kids and the big bulky car seats don't all fit! I have 3 kids, and I did try to put this in our back seat with 3 across. It was an extremely tight fit and the infant seat was basically covering the drink cup on the booster. I think if we maybe had a different forward facing car seat for my toddler, that I could have made this booster work for 3 across. Instead this will make a great extra seat in the spare car or grandparents car! I really like how easy it was to put together and when your kid is ready for a backless booster, the back is super easy to remove. I love the cup holders, I tested it out and my kid's water bottle actually fits it! I had my son try it out and he liked it, said it was comfy and he was able to buckle himself in! This will definitely be used by the grandparents, especially since it is something easy to install and remove, because it is so lightweight. I fully recommend this seat for when your kids are ready for a booster!

Unfortunately the way this booster sits in my car makes it very difficult to buckle. Even my 8 year old had a hard time getting it buckled right. It definitely works, but having to buckle the seat for my child isn't something I want to be doing regularly so this will be our back-up booster. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are using the safety 1st booster as our movable seat for our 8 year old son. It is very light weight and the head rest is easy to move up or down, meaning it is VERY easy to take out of our car and move into grandparents. Space is a premium in vehicles with multiple children and while it LOOKS wider, it does fit well in standard vehicles meaning there is space for 2 boosters and the middle seat is still usable. While I have not tested it, I presume the same would go for it's use in conjunction with slimfit carseats as well. Thanks to Stellar Product Teating Pannel for affording us a seat big enough to fit our growing 8 year old but small enough to still fit his siblings in the car! He reports comfort during long rides and has not complained of the head rest/wings feeling tight (something often complained about with other seats).

I loved how easy it was to put together and install! It took no time to find a proper fit for my son. The best part of it is the narrow profile. We were so happy to get rid of the bulky car seat and to use this one. Now the big brother gets more space in the back and is happier on long commutes! The little guy seems happy and comfortable in his booster and loves the cupholders especially.

I really like the ease of how the back piece snaps to the base of the seat. That being said, the plastic where it connects feels cheap in comparison to other seats we have used. I am concerned that it would easily break and separate during a car crash. I like how easily the seatbelt was routed at the shoulder and it fits my child really well. It seems cozy even for my thinner child. This seat would fit larger children really well. The material feels easy to clean, but we have not had to clean it yet. The cup holders twist into place which is convenient, but the shape is weird and does not fit our water bottles (but so far no carseat cupholders have). Overall it is a very basic car seat. It is not one I would seek out, but had it's positives especially at the price point.
