Q: If there is a fire and the doorknob gets hot and melts how will I open the door?

A: I'm not sure what type of plastic this is made of, but most plastics melt above 200 °C (392 °F). By the time a house fire got hot enough to melt plastic, it would be very unlikely anyone would still be conscious.

Q: My spherical doorknob has a largest diameter of 6.5” on the knob and then narrows to 4.25”. Will these fit? I’m asking because other door knob covers did not fit

A: Hello. We cannot ensure the door knob covers will fit your door handle, however, we can provide the measurements for these covers. Diameter at widest point (top where lock hole is) – 8 ½ “ . Diameter at base 7 ½”, depth is about 2 ½”, 2 ½” wide at top front (where lock hole is) and opening at base is about 1”.

Ridiculous! My doorknob still turns easily and they’re hard to remove. Now I’m breaking my thumbnails trying to get them off!!!

I've used child proof door knob covers before and these are poor by comparison. They are very hard to get off, choice is basically breaking the cover or risk scratching your door knob with the screwdriver.

These did NOT fit my door knobs very well . It was loose and kind of just hung on the knob. And ....my child quickly got the door open. Plus, the instructions on how to unlock them was terrible I couldn't even figure it out to get it on the door knob

We purchased these when my toddler figured out how to open up the side door leading to our backyard. We installed one on our front door and it barely fit, we installed the other on the side door which fit fine. It has only been two weeks & my 2 year old toddler has figured out how to apply the pressure it takes to open the door with this device. Don’t waste your money. It’s also so difficult to put on & extremely frustrating.
So loud. Bump one and baby is awake.

They serve their purpose, but they are so LOUD. People buy these because they have a toddler, toddlers nap. Well, there is no more sneaking in/out of rooms with these bad boys on the knobs, plus- when someone bumps into one- it’s over. 😂

These are made out of such hard plastic that we found it impossible to even open them to put them on the door handle. We returned them because we were sure if we ever managed to get them onto a door handle. We would have to break them to get them off after our grandchildren left.
