Bronze Moonbeam Award, Independent Press Award
2024 Children's Book Council 2024 Favorite for K-2nd Grade
Hello, my name is Patrick.
You may have heard my story.
I walked the span of Ireland
to tell of God's great glory.
And with a wee green shamrock
I shared of the Three-in-One:
our God--the blessed mystery--
Father, Spirit, and the Son.
Everybody's Irish on Saint Patrick's Day. But did you know that Patrick--the greatest bishop of Ireland--wasn't Irish? Combining Patrick's words from his Confessions with a few of the legends about him, this whimsical retelling will teach families about the fascinating life of the real Saint Patrick and help them discover a remarkable story of love and forgiveness along the way.
Told in rollicking rhyme and beautifully illustrated with Ned Bustard's signature linocut artwork, this children's book will be enjoyed by kids and the adults who read with them. Also included is a note from the author to encourage further conversation about the content.

Review Quotes
"A beautifully told and illustrated story of the life and ministry of Saint Patrick. Ned Bustard has done an amazing job."--Philip Freeman, author of St. Patrick of Ireland: A Biography and Fletcher Jones Chair of Western Culture at Pepperdine University's Seaver College
"I can't wait to recommend and gift this beautiful book on the life of Saint Patrick. So many children (and adults) celebrate Saint Patrick's Day without knowing the faith and fortitude of this great saint. This treasure is the perfect collection of illustrations and verse incorporating Saint Patrick facts and legends. I will be recommending and gifting this to the grownups in my life too!"--Lisa Landis Blowers, host and producer of Kids Cookie Break radio program
"This musical picture book tells the story of a saint transformed by the grace of God. Through his delightful illustrations and joyful rhymes, Ned Bustard introduces young readers to the life of Saint Patrick and reminds us that God can bring generations of fruit from one small seed of obedience."--Théa Rosenburg, coeditor of Wild Things and Castles in the Sky: A Guide to Choosing the Best Books for Children and blogger at Little Book, Big Story
"While the source material is limited, what we do know of Patrick of Ireland is that he carried within himself a great passion for the good news of Jesus and a great love for the people of Ireland. Ned Bustard's delightful children's book Saint Patrick the Forgiver captures this gospel spirit of the Celtic missionary and, just for fun, weaves in a few of the charming legends connected to his amazing life."--Jeff Johnson, musician and composer
