A: Hello Lane, The HW-S50B Soundbar is not designed to be used with a receiver setup. It is a 3.0 Channel Soundbar System with a built-in Center Channel allowing for improved dialogue. If you are wanting to add on a wireless subwoofer you are able to with the SWA-W510 Subwoofer. You will also have the ability to add surround sound speakers using the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. ~Samsung Solutions

It will go off more often. You have to unplug it and plug it back in. I called and was told that the speaker needs to be periodically updated and that you will need to do that using the USB port. If I had known of this, I would not have bought it.

If you are connecting wirelessly to the TV via Bluetooth, please follow these steps: 1) Press the PAIR button on the remote to enter BT PAIRING mode. You can also press the SOURCE button on the top panel and then select BT. “BT” changes to “BT PAIRING” in a few seconds automatically or changes to “BT READY” if there is a connect record. If BT READY appears, press and hold the SOURCE button on the top panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to display BT PAIRING. 2) Select the Bluetooth sound mode on your TV (See your TV's user manual for assistance) 3) Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar” from the list on the TV’s screen. An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV’s Bluetooth device list. To connect the TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection. When the TV is connected, [TV Name] → “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display. You should now hear TV sound from the Soundbar. I bought this a month ago to pair with a Samsung TV to assist with clarity of speech and improved sound as was advertised. I thought that the more expensive unit would be better quality. The set up was difficult and several functions either do not work or not as explained. Overall as it is set up, it did not achieve the clarity of speech that I was hoping for.

Central channel volume can be adjusted, with thin soundbar you cannot miss a word. I added a compatible subwoofer which was very easy to connect, it added depth to the sound. Great product.

Really underpowered and limited range of sound. You need to crank it up to 70-80% just to hear out of the system. Built-in subwoofer is basically nonexistent. You are better off getting a separate subwoofer.
