wow, wow, and wow!!! super easy install - i did a fresh install of windows 10, will transfer backups and reload apps. it took over 3min 30sec on my old drive to get from pressing power to webbed out to my calendar. no joke - now it's 15 seconds! say whaaaa???

i just hooked this up to my mac and im wondering whats going on - after placing it a mercury elite pro enclosure and hooking it up im not getting any where close to the advertised speeds on my device. in fact its slower than than the traditional hardrive its replacing. im i doing something wrong?

If you haven't done so already, you may want to use Samsung Magician to run Performance Optimization, ensure that your motherboard supports SATA III interface, check that all performance related settings are set correctly (cached enabled, AHCI enabled), and be sure you have the latest version of the driver. i use the 8tb ssd as an external drive. i first set it up with a usb 3.0 external enclosure. the disk worked fine. i purchased a usb 3.1 external enclosure, actually 3 different brands. when i use this for my ssd, windows 10 only recognizes the first 2tb. contacted samsung for support and was told my drivers for my motherboard and chipset need to be updated. i purchased this laptop 3 weeks ago. its a pretty high end dell workstation. all the drivers have been updated. still my ssd will not work in the usb 3.1 enclosure. samsung
