Saris Cycle Glide Ceiling Bike Rack, 4 Bike Hooks for Garage Ceiling

I sat on this purchase for a couple of years. Finally decided to give it a try and I love it. It's sturdy, glides well, and was easy to install. It saves us a ton of space in our garage and is easy to get the bikes on and off. It's a really well thought out design. Our garage looks way better, after putting it up. You can push the bikes together really compact and the footprint hanging from the ceiling is small. I had to wait a couple of months go get it, once I decided to buy it, because they were out of stock, so if you're debating and just waiting, you might want to order.

This is a great solution for recovering garage space if you have a high ceiling. Easy to install. I would have given 5 stars but not a big fan of using retaining clips to hold the load. I'm sure Saris have done the math and it's ok, but seems a bit dodgy. Don't get me wrong, love the rack, and the solution, and have had no issues with it.

Just installed. Pretty straightforward and works really well. In my case I can walk under the bikes now which frees up loads of garage storage real estate. One issue I have is with the e-clips seem like a lightweight part for hanging bikes. Seems to work though.

This system is the greatest thing! Perfect for our 6 bikes and VERY easy to put bikes up and take them down, slide the tracks and get the bikes off the concrete floor and out of danger! HIGHLY recommend

Was fairly easy to install. Most time spent was to get primary rails squared, and to make sure secondary rails will be centered. Little thought and it is easy to install. Ours works great. Only improvement is to provide thicker packaging. When we received ours I saw how rails were exposed, but no damage. Inventory included 100%. Thanks Saris, well thought out great product.

Despite buying many things on line I never really leave reviews as I find most products adequate and work as advertised. This ceiling glide exceeds expectations. I am very pleased with the build quality and how well the tracks glide. Storing bikes is always awkward but this is probably the best and most compact way I have come across. The installation is not super easy and it’s very important to get 4 screws per track in WOOD. This is not an application for drywall anchors as that will absolutely pull your sheet rock off the rafters.

I purchased the ceiling rack, after I got bit by the bike building bug, over a year ago! The sliding hooks are easy to handle - even when my car is parked underneath.

I bought the ceiling mount bike storage system for 4 bikes. So easy to install and super easy to use. Got some garage space back and the bikes are secure in the rack. Always a quality product from Saris. Highly recommended

I just purchased and installed the bike rack (and also added the two extra bicycle holders) - the system is great. All six bikes are up off the floor and the bikes are easy to put on / take off. The rack glides smoothly and is a perfect fit for our garage.

Not very tricky installing however it helps to take your time. Setting the main rails is most critical. The hooks and traversing rails glide very easily so takes some time getting used to. Also if you have a 10' high ceiling (like myself), you may need a ladder to get them.

Great concept, but design has frustrating flaw. The e-ring clips that attach to the pins aren't supposed to support any substantial forces against them. They are only made to prevent pins from slipping through holes, similar to a cotter pin. The design of this rack puts most of the weight of the bike directly on the tiny little e clip. This is a fundamental flaw that has already led to one of my racks falling down. I solved the problem by replacing the pins and e clips with a 3/16" x 1" aluminum binding post with screw (see photo). Rolls just as smooth, but now much stronger! Hope I don't have to come up with a similar fix for the big hooks, since they also have a similarly weak e clip design. I still like the rack, I'm just surprised to find such a poorly designed component in an otherwise very cool system. If not for the e clips, this rack would merit five stars plus.

I have a lot of bikes and minimal storage options. The storage system was easy to assemble, works efficiently and has great aesthetics.

The hardest part was getting the rails perfectly straight on the ceiling joists. after that everything goes together easily.

Great use of space and well thought out design. Allows quick access to each bike even when both cars in garage.
