Q: I have used this razor/shaver for about 10 years and they continue to grow mold in all of the crevices. I have tried cleaning with brushes and mold & mildew sprays to no avail. Please re-design!

A: If you see mold then it’s too old. You have kept it too long. That’s when you need to toss and get a new one.

A: It varies significantly depending on each person's shaving habits, hair and usage. For the optimal performance, since the blades and the Water-Activated serum work together, you should replace the cartridge when you feel like either the 5 Curve-Sensing blades or the Water-Activated Moisturizing Serum are not performing to your expectations. Most consumers can get 5-7 shaves per cartridge, some more or less, but it depends on the user.

Q: Can I buy a replacement end for the electric trimmer without buying a whole new razor?

A: The trimmer side is not replaceable but please try the below steps: 1. Press the release button to remove the refill cartridge. 2. Hold the unit with the underside (Hydro logo) facing you and the trimmer comb facing up. Remove the comb by pushing up at the base of it with your thumb. 3. Place your thumb at base of the trimmer blades and push up to release the blade set from the unit; use the palm of your other hand to catch the blade set. 4. With blade set removed, turn the unit over so that the Schick logo is facing you and press the power button firmly. 5. If motor works with the blade set removed, the blades may be clogged with debris. Plug your sink drain and rinse the blade set under warm water to remove debris. 6. Hold the unit with the Schick logo facing you and replace the blade set by lining up the two notches at the back of the blade set with the corresponding notches at the trimmer end of the unit; then press down on the flat plastic top of the blade set to lock it into place. 7. If the motor still does not work, replace the battery. If you still experience difficulty after all these steps, please call us Monday through Friday at 1-800-742-8377 between the hours of 8AM and 6PM EST.

Had one that lasted for YEARS until it finally died. I loved this thing-perfect combo of razor and trimmer. I’ve now had two die/break within 6-7 months. Poorly made. Don’t bother buying unless they update their materials.

Had the previous model for this same brand it lasted for years . I bought a new one because the trimmer side was getting rusty . The new one I bought lasted a month before it stopped working replaced the battery and nothing . It’s so cheaply made now. will not be buying this again the quality is horrible.

I have gone through 2 of these in a year and 2 months. The first lasted from December '23 to December '24. It just stopped working for whatever reason. I then purchased another in early January and got 1 and a half uses out of it. It died about 30 seconds into the second use and I have tried numerous new batteries to no avail. Will not be purchasing another one.

I’ve been using this trimmer for years now, but have had to buy a new one every so often because the trimmer part always stops working eventually. They sell the refills on the razor blade, but I find it pointless to buy if I constantly have to get a new one with a working trimmer.

I agree with many other reviewers who say the quality and longevity has significantly changed for the worse. This used to be a good product, but now you can buy one and expect it only to last for a handful of months. I really liked the size and function of this electric trimmer for my bikini line, but will now be looking for another product because this one is a waste of money with such a high replacement rate.

I used to be a huge fan of this razor. Mine stopped working and I have bought three of them in the last few months and they all break within the first one to two uses. Something dramatically changed and this is no longer a viable product.

I bought this trimmer all of my life, I absolutely loved it! But unfortunately, just in the span of 6 months I've gone through 2 of them.. I'm not sure if they are made differently now, but I can't afford to buy one of these every three months when the one I have decides to die. Unfortunately I can't continue to use this trimmer anymore.

Quality is going down hill... I have purchased 3 over the course of 2 years now. The first one no issue and eventually the button ceased to work almost a year out of it, purchased another one as I like the battery operated trimmer feature, it was constructed differently had more rubber and the button was different so gave it a shot, lasted 5 months and ceased working again. Tried another (thought I just got a bad one the 2nd time) and it didnt work at all. Pretty crappy for this company forcing consumers to have to replace less than a year's use out of it , i guess they dont care about quality anymore. Will NOT be buying anything from this company again, unless I want to waste my money and certainly will not be recommending products from this company.

I LOVE this razor, however. The quality has gone way down. My original one lasted like 4+ years. These newer models stop working so quickly. I am frustrated how soon the trimmer stops working now, this latest one just stopped working after 3 months. Replacing the battery doesn’t help, the trimmer just dies

I have a few things to say but first, my product came with a thick yellow substance inside the battery compartment. My best guess based on how it looks and where it is is that it’s battery acid. Can’t tell if that means it was used previously? I’m going to just assume it’s defective. As it is right out of the box that was sealed and all the outside parts appeared clean and clear from the yellow fluid… yuck— anyways other than that, i really wish schick would make this product with trimmer replacements!! It sucks to have to repurchase the entire plastic razor every few months. I purchased this on a whim as i needed something whilst on vacation but I would not recommend using this long term as it’s pretty cheaply made, replacement blades are expensive and once your trimmer gets dull you have to repurchase it. bad for environment!

I like this product, it worked well enough and got the job done after my preferred trimmer was discontinued, but it's been less than a year and stopped working even after changing batteries and everything it's just dead. I haven't dropped it and always make sure I fully dry after each use. It's unfortunate because this product is the only thing that's been working for me.

I was really excited to get this product after seeing all the positive reviews. Initially, it seemed great—however, after only a few uses, the electric trimmer completely stopped working, even though the batteries were fully charged. No matter what I did (changed batteries multiple times, tried disassembling and reassmbling) it just wouldn't turn on. I expected better quality and longevity. Unfortunately, this product didn't live up to my expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it.
