Scotch Commercial Grade Shipping Packaging Tapes, 1.88 Inches x 54.6 Yards, Clear, Set of 12 Rolls and 1 Dispenser

I bought a dispenser of Scotch Packaging Tape, 84.2 Yards. It was fine for about 12 inches. After that, the tape kept shredding, a thin section constantly separated from the tape. It was as bad as the worst brand X packaging tape I ever bought. Never expected Scotch to sell such a sub-standard tape. After I get my holiday packages taped, I will toss the rest of the tape. Way too much time, mess, and effort just to get some tape. (I ship lots of packages for my art business, so I am not a packaging tape novice).

I have used this tape many times for mailing packages and many times have had the frustration of the end sticking to the roll. When trying to find the end this time it rendered the roll useless. I threw it away. There has to be a better way.

Once I found Scotch brand #3750 tape I've never looked for anything else!! A friend accidentally ordered #3850... what a nightmare... we shipped it all back. Couldn't get a long piece of the tape without it splitting. #3750 is by far the best! Pulls easily, STICKS great, doesn't split and I use it everywhere.

Why don't you make it easier for the customer to get the tape started. Don't you realize there are a lot of seniors, etc. who don't have FINGERNAILS to scrape the tape off the roll. You're a packaging company; you should make it easy to use your product!

I bought 4 rolls. When I attempted to remove the "caution" cardboard thing covering the blade at the performation if left about a 1/4 inch of cardboard over the tape. I finally called 3M and learned to just cut that back to the blade. Then learned the tape DOES NOT go through anything near the blade. On the box it says pull the tape "through the tabs". You do NOT do this either. Those tabs are just a resting place for the tape until you need it again. Pull tape forward and on your box. Then hold it down while turning wrist slightly to cut it. It truly is simple but the directions are very poor. I am not the first writer to be frustrated with the cardboard piece that stayed over the blade. Yet in no video has 3M addressed this. Once I got it going I give it a 3 but trying to start it was so frustrating I give it a very poor rating.

I have purchased this tape for sealing boxes many times. It never gets easier to get it started. First, the little cardboard tab must be removed. If one pulls on it the larger part tears off but the smaller part tucked into the red plastic tabs stays put. I have to get a small scissors and nip away carefully to pull with finger tips to get that piece of cardboard out. It would be helpful if one pull removes both parts of the cardboard. Then to get the tape to start takes a long time. It would be great to have a started strip to pull to get the tape started and put in position. And is one supposed to be a mind reader/psychic to figure out how the tape should be placed to get proper pull and tear? Apparently so. I am amazed that this product's ease of starting and use hasn't been complained about and improved.

This is the worst tape I have ever used. I recently moved and over 80% of my boxed popped open because this tape DOES NOT STICK.

I always have a couple of rolls of your packaging tape on hand. I just started a new roll (Scotch Shipping and Packaging tape which says more than 3000 inches on it). How frustrating, to try to find the end and then have it sliver off. The tape is noticeably thinner than any I've used before and easily tears and folds in on itself. By the time I was finished taping a package, I was totally annoyed and had to write this review. I guess I'll have to look for "HEAVY DUTY" on future purchases, who knew there were different grades.

Tape has no adhesive on it. Brand new roll. Dispenser says "20X stronger" and "heavy duty" .

Extremely poor quality shipping tape!! Do not waste your $$ on this product!! Will try heavier denier moving tape

We are constantly sending care packages back and forth and this Scotch Tape with dispenser is fantastic! Tried to use a generic cheaper brand to save money as we ship packages quite frequently and that was a mistake. The cheaper tape was sticky, didn't cut well, and we had to use at least twice as much as Scotch. Needless to say we went back to our loyal brand of Scotch tape and will never stray again!!

I have so much faith in this product. I know my packages will arrive intact and unopened. I have used cheaper products in the past and there really is no comparison.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used alot of other shipping tapes, when I decided to give Scotch Shipping package tape a try I was amazed, very easy to use, this tape is extremely strong and stays put. I called my friend in Tenn. after I shipped his package of toys for his kids, the package was pretty heavy and I was very worried about the box opening and spilling out the toys all over the east coast. I called him and asked did the package stay together? He told me yes, and he had a hard time getting into the box, lol, he said finally I used sissors and cut the tape, he said what type of tape did you use, I told him Scotch Packaging, so he will purchase some too, I am very pleased that your tape held together all the way to Tenn., we know how packages are thrown around during transit, giant KUDOS to Scotch Brand, I reccommend this to everyone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TITAN SCOTCH PACKING TAPE! It is great for sealing up all those packages I send off to my son 3,000 miles away! In almost three years, I have never had a complaint from him that package was torn apart on arrival I also utilize the tape as a label protector to be sure the mailing and return addresses don't smudge. I like the fact that I do not need to use a lot of tape to get great results! Cost-saving! I also use Titan Scotch Tape to cover household labels I make. It also keeps them smudge-free and are easily wiped clean with a damp cloth! Cheaper than a labeling machine! It also works to tape shut drawers and doors on furniture when moving! No tape marks remain, either!

The tape it's self is thick and strong, you will only need one strip to close a box. The dispenser is what I love the best!!! It won't break, it is easy to pull out the tape by gently pushing down on the end of the flap, opposite of the cutter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is ideal for tight-fitting closures when an old box is reused to store or ship something. Unlike other brands, Scotch doesn't wrinkle up, so less tape gets the job done. The dispenser works well.

This was so much easier than using tape on a roll that had to be cut with scissors. I quickly got it down to a science and my boxes were assembled, packed and sealed with ease. None of the boxes fell apart. Love this product.
