Q: What does "made with 65% recycled or plant-based material" mean? Is the tape itself plant-based, and therefore can be composted, and the case is recycled plastic? This info isn't posted anywhere.

The quality of the tape has not gotten worse (like some 'greener' versions of items) and i was quite happy with that fact. This sample came when i was out of state but i used it as soon as i got home. Same quality better for the environment, a win, win in my book.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Greener Tape seems to work just as well as 3M other tapes.The only issue I had was that when i received the dispenser the plastic dispenser was broken. I received one in a bubble wrap package and one in a box. Both dispensers were broken.

I used it to wrap a gift and it easily tore off of the dispenser, twist around on itself, and was nearly invisible. I'm glad to see that 3M is manufacturing environmentally conscientious products.

The tape dispenses very smooth and it tears off the roll quite nicely. I used it to tape some sheets inside a notebook where I keep lots of notes. It is transparent and holds very well to the paper. Also if you make a mistake it is easy to peel off of the paper.

I prefer using products that benefit our plant or reuse resources. Nice matte-finish and made from recycled materials or plant base is a win for our home and Earth.

I hadn't heard of "green tape" before I tried this product, and of course I was skeptical. I assumed it wouldn't be as sticky or useful as regular tape. I was pleasantly surprised however upon trying it! I saw no difference between the green tape and the normal tape. It was sticky, and easy to dispense. It feels good to make a small change to help the environment while still using a dependable tape brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Scotch Magic Greener tape test sample has made me feel good as I've been wrapping presents this summer for birthday, moving, thinking about you, and, even Christmas presents. It's easy to tear off, holds wrapping paper together, and doesn’t stand out more than the paper. I love to wrap for friends and others who do nice things in my world and using this makes feel less guilty about not just wrapping without tape. I like it and believe others will, too

The green tape was “tough” in the plastic container’s teeth. But when I moved it to my desk dispenser with metal teeth, it tore off last me a charm.

I made assumptions because it was a "greener" tape that it might not work as well or feel flimsy. I'm happy to report that wasn't the case! It seemed to adhere quite well and felt just as durable as a regular tape. It felt good to know I was using a product that might be more earth-friendly!

The product is easy to dispense, and sticks well to any surface I applied it to. It is strong and durable. I like that it is almost invisible on the paper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The finish of the tape is not as great as the regular magic tape. The hold of the tape is not as strong either. I found that some of my projects would lift when using the tape to hold them down. Also, I didn’t care for the package.
