Description
This is a thermal laminator combo pack. The package contains one laminator that will laminate items up to 9" wide, plus 20 high quality thermal laminating pouches. The 20 TP3854 pouches can hold sheets up to 8.5" x 11". Scotch Thermal Laminator is easy to use and will laminate items up to 9 in wide. Features a 2 roller system that has two temperature settings for 3 mil and 5 mil. This machine has a 4 minute warm up, feeds 11.5"/minute, with pouch release mechanism in case of mis-feed. Portable with a carry handle, fold in tray and cord storage wrap. So disappointed in this laminator. It is so difficult to load the laminating sheet. I will replace as soon as I am able. Dis anyone actually try to use this machine before it was put on the market. The flimsy loading shelf keeps falling and it does not line up with where the sheet needs to enter.

I just bought this laminator today. Plugged it in to use the first time and saw smoke coming out of it after 2 minutes into the warming process. Immediately unplugged it before it turned even worse than just smoke.

Very disappointed in this laminator. I have always loved scotch laminators as they have always worked really well. With me being a teacher, I get quite a bit of use out of it but this one does not work for me. The tray will not stay up and just falls down which makes it to where I have to hold the paper as it goes in most of the way. I’m not sure if a piece was broken off but it will not stay up and it makes it difficult to multi task as I’m having to hold it to use. I really need to get another one but my teacher salary doesn’t agree with me on that. The one I had before this was great but it got recalled so I went and bought this one. It was a downgrade for sure.

I loved it for the 2 months it worked - then the input tray broke. Now it is a pain to use. The least Scotch/3M could do is sell a replacement tray. So annoying. I thought people were just being careless with their laminator and that is why they broke - nope it breaks very easily.

Purchased and barely used, now the input tray is broken. Can’t laminate properly. Input tray seems to be made of poor quality material as many other people have mentioned the same issue.

Input Tray Broken, Laminator Worthless Now

For the first few months the laminator worked really good, then the input try broke one day when I was closing the tray for storage. Now the laminator is worthless to me because the laminating sheets cannot be loaded correctly due to the broken input tray. I am a Kindergarten teacher and before the laminator broke it was priceless now that it is broken I need to buy a new one, but because I am school teacher I do not have the budget to buy another one. So just a heads up the input tray may break.

Fairly new and the feed try won't stay up, plus it jams a lot. It just now got an entire laminating sheet stuck in there and I can't get it out. We had this bought with our school budget, so we probably won't be able to get another one :(

Hubby purchased this a couple of months ago as I've wanted one for crafts etc. The fist time I used it, it was great. Thank goodness as the item was handwritten by my late mother and irreplaceable. Today I tried to laminate several items, it just ate all of them bunching up in the machine. The first one I thought I just didn't wait long enough, nope it ate them, you can't open it to retrieve your project all you can do is push the release lever and pull like crazy to get it out. I hope hubby can get our money back, I should have known better than to let him choose. Had I looked I would have read reviews, and so many have the same issues as I. I'll try to find another brand. Stay away from this one!!!!!!!!! Oh in the bottom of this it asks how likely are you to recommend this item, it won't let me select never.

Used many times with some issues of wrinkling up film. When trying to heat up, it makes a noise. When it gets heated up, it will not feed the sheets into the machine.

I purchased this laminator in mid-September and by December, the loading tray has already broken. I am a teacher and have used it to laminate for my classroom, but overall it has had minimal use. I would have given this zero stars if it was an option. The sheet comes out with air bubbles and sideways and all messed up and looks exactly like the other pictures posted. This machine should be recalled like their other one TL302 but instead I get stuck with the bill because i do not have receipt

had this product for a couple years. worked great til one day i was warming it up as usual when i started to smell burning and saw smoke coming from entry way. nothing inside it...when i went to blow at it to clear some of the smoke away flames actually came out the other end. glas I was home and did not leave it plugged up

I bought this laminator last school year. After using it twice, the tray broke! I am not new to using laminators and have never had one break like this before. It is flimsy and not worth the time or money to buy replacement parts and try to fix it. Very disappointed.

Great product but my tray won't stay up and that is how you feed the pouches. Without a properly functioning tray it is unusable. Now I will have to purchase a new unit, unless I hold it up for each pouch.
