Q: How do I turn the lamp on? Do I use the dimmable switch to do that? If so, how far from the base of the lamp is the dimmable switch?

While I LOVE the look of this lamp, it came with a defective bulb. I called Target to see if they could send just a replacement bulb, and they could not. They did refund a percentage, which is great, but now I'm struggling to find a bulb that works. LEDs don't seem to work with the dimmer (they just flicker constantly) and incandescent bulbs are not going to be available come this summer (and they don't look as nice since the bulb is visible). If anyone has any suggestions for bulbs that work, I’d love to hear them!

This little floor lamp is so unique and useful! It’s very sturdy and easy to assemble. One thing I didn’t consider is how the base will take up a larger footprint because of the tripod legs- no fault of this lamp, I just didn’t take that into consideration when I purchased it. It’s not a dealbreaker for me though and I definitely recommend this lamp! Plus the dimmer and included bulb are perfect. It is just what I needed to complete my little reading space.

Purchased for our sunroom and it’s a great fit! Do measure because I did and was still surprised by the height (not that tall). The rattan shade is much bigger than I expected too. Overall, it’s really a nice lamp. Metal base made to look wood and a nicely wrapped power cord with a dimmer.
