Q: What is this product most closely compared to?

submitted by Summer - 5 months ago
  • A: That is exactly what I was wondering about. Too bad no one answered it. It should be noted in the description. It feels like it might be like Aveeno's skin relief formula (?).

submitted byMissPersnickety - 5 months ago
  • A: Hi Summer - We appreciate your inquiry. This item is not a compared to formulation. Take care! - LeAnn

Q: This seem to be a great sensitive body lotion! However, the number 3 ingredients petrolatum is highly irritating to sensitive skin which in my experience nullified the title. Can it be removed?

submitted by Yomma - 7 months ago
  • A: Any time we get any procedure done at the Dermatologist's office, all the healing treatments involve petrolatum jelly.

submitted byMissPersnickety - 5 months ago
  • A: Petrolatum is one of the best if not the best ingredient for sensitive skin. It is virtually impossible to develop an allergy or reaction to petrolatum. It is inert, it doesn’t change in the skin nor does it bind to proteins. It is one of the most effective, safe, tested & proven treatments in the world for skin irritation, moisture retention & healing (including post surgical) It is the base of countless pharmaceutical treatments which have much stricter regulations than cosmetics.

Q: Is this product safe for hands face and body?

submitted by Summer - 5 months ago
  • A: Many products say you can use their product on the face+ body, but you'd be better off getting a separate product strictly formulated for facial use. It generally has addt'l beneficial ingredients.

submitted byMissPersnickety - 5 months ago

Q: Is Up & Up cruelty free?

submitted by KDB - 7 months ago

The new lotion formula has received mixed feedback from guests, with many expressing disappointment compared to the previous version. While some appreciate its moisturizing properties and affordability, others find it sticky, greasy, and not suitable for sensitive skin. I don't write bad reviews unless the product is really bad, This lotion is really bad. It doesn't absorb well, it's sticky feeling, not creamy when applying to the skin. I expected it to be similar to the Up & Up previous repair lotion which came in a larger bottle which by the way cost less and was awesome. This left a reside on my skin and I find it unusable. I would pay more to get the old version back. I give warning to buyers, beware this is crappy lotion spend more and get a name brand. This Up & Up version is horrible and not mositurizing at all, just sticky.

LOVE the thicker consistency of this lotion. It goes on super smoothly and the fact that it is frangrance free is a plus. I add a body oil on top which does have a scent and it's 10/10!

This new unscented lotion is almost a dollar more and a smaller bottle than the old advanced repair lotion, and it’s not as absorbent. The old lotion was so much better.

I love this lotion, so much. It's thick and hydrating but not sticky or heavy feeling. I also love that there is no scent, I'm extremely sensitive to fragrance and this one has none, so I'm surprised by some of the other reviews that think it does. I highly recommend this and am going to get more, the price is awesome, thank you Target!

This is the first time I've found an affordable alternative to the lotion I was using, which is super helpful when you want to use it as an all body lotion after a shower. Personal preference, of course, but I find Aveeno that some reviewers have mentioned has a kind of rubbery finish. This is a heavy lotion, a bit sticky at first because of the glycerin, but well worth it for the deep moisturizing. It's perfect for me, and I'm so happy to have found it.

I used the Advanced Repair Lotion for years. This is not the same. Too thick and smells funny. Why did it have to change?

Terrible chemical smell. Irritating to my eczema. Waxy feel. I do not like this new line and wish Target would return to the previous formulas for up and up lotion. Threw it away.

I have used the Up&Up Skin Calming Body wash for years. Never had any issues. Perfect formula. Then Target discontinued it! Why?? This substitute is horrible. My skin and lady bits were red inflamed and on fire! It was extremely irritating and smelled awful! What were you thinking Target? Why would you do this to your customers? Bring back the Skin Calming Body Wash we all know and love and depend on.

Love how smoothing this lotion is. It is not scented, but still pleasant to wear. (Previously I bought unscented lotion that smelled bad). I love the amount you get for the price!

This is comparable to aveeno fragrance free. It is a bit thicker in consistency, goes on smooth and leaves skin soft.

I have used the UP & UP lotion for YEARS. It was the only lotion I could find that wouldn't affect my eczema. The new formula is sticky and greasy, it's just bad. Please bring back the old formula.

This lotion almost appears to be similar to a sunscreen/paste formula (but no spf benefit). It does not rub in well as it leaves white streaks. If trying to further rub in it creates a flaky white mess. Not comparable at all to the up and up advanced therapy lotion (please read other reviewers as I agree with them to bring back the up and up advanced therapy lotion). This product also leaves a filmy feel to my skin after use and collects in nail beds during application.
