Disgusting smell wont go away

When these were deliverd, I could smell a disgusting order before I even opened the package. After opening, the smell was even more overpowering. Aired the rugs out on my screen porch for a few days and it didnt help. Washed them twice, and they still smell. Not sure if Target will take them back since i had to remove the tags to wash. This item must have been stored in a flooded store room because the mildew smell is so bad. Dont waste your money.
