She's Not Sorry - by Mary Kubica

Horrible book. These reviews really made me think I was waiting for something to happen the whole time. It’s a book full of fillers and long run on sentences to fill space.

If you’re a fan of thrillers, you need to read this book. Finished in one day, and still think about it!

I know Mary Kubica is a wildly popular author, but sometimes her books have been a little too intense for me, so honestly, I probably would not have given this book a chance if I had not had the opportunity to read an Advance Review Copy of "She's Not Sorry." However, I am really glad that I did -- the plot was excellent, and I was engrossed in the story almost immediately. I read it far more quickly than I had imagined I would! There was a lot going on, a bit complicated at times, but totally worth it to be able to appreciate how the different storylines ended up fitting together. I know that the author is known for her twists, and this book definitely met that expectation--I definitely did not see the twists coming! The characters were very well developed, and the writing was right on point. I will be giving Mary Kubica's next book a chance for sure!

Fantastic read! Very easy to read and follow. I finished it in a week which is rare for me. Lots of details you don’t realize are important along the way! Great book if a Nurse because it really hits home and is on point to the profession. Would definitely recommend. It is a thriller but not overly “scary”.

An ICU nurse cares for a patient in a coma due to jumping off a bridge. A witness comes forward stating the patient was pushed. The nurse mistakenly gets close to the patient’s family and fears she or her daughter could be the next victim. Despite figuring out what was happening beforehand on several occasions, I still enjoyed reading SHE’S NOT SORRY. It was a very bingeable thriller and just what I needed when I picked it up – something that I didn’t have to think seriously about and could just go along for the ride. The plot contained some dark themes and had a lot going on with multiple story lines and a lot of characters, but it all came together in the end.

Great book exactly as described

Meghan Michaels is trying to balance working as a full-time nurse and being a single mom to a teenage daughter. One day, while working at the hospital, a patient named Caitlin arrives with a traumatic brain injury and is in a coma from jumping off a bridge and plunging twenty feet to the train tracks below. However, when a witness comes forward with new details about the fall, everything that was known is called into question. Was Caitlin pushed? If so, by whom and why? Meghan always tries to stay emotionally detached from her patients, but this one time, she lets herself get too close and becomes deeply entailed in Caitlin's and her family's lives. Only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims. This one wasn't too bad but multiple things were predictable. The suspense was good but I felt that some of the twists and turns could have been better.

Do you need a page turner from the start? You won’t want to put this book down as this book draws you in and won’t let go until the end! Meghan is a divorced single mother working as an ICU nurse. Her work and personal life are equally demanding, especially raising a teenager. She also has to worry about the rise in crime close to her neighborhood and her high-school friend going through a domestic violence situation. Can she juggle it all and stay safe? Meghan is assigned to Caitlin, a patient who jumped off a bridge over a railroad track, where she is now fighting for her life. This hits close to home as Meghan’s sister died of suicide by jumping from a bridge. There is a man that visits Caitlin. When confronted, he quickly leaves. Caitlin’s father shares information and a voice mail he receives right before her suicide attempt. Is it what it seems? Was she pushed? Who is the man who visited Caitlin? Is he connected to her accident? Are people who they seem to be? I loved the plot and the unassuming characters that have secrets! The unexpected twists and turns will keep you guessing until the end. Just when you think you have figured it out, something else is revealed. I didn’t see the end coming! A perfect book to take on vacation where you can read for hours. Be sure to add this to your TBR list!
