When I first used it I used too much on my very long, thick curly hair and while it looked nice it felt waxy. When I used less than I do with similar products, I found my hair to both look nice and feel nice. It adds definition to curls without any crunch, my hair is soft and much less frizzy. I like the way it looks and feels and will purchase this. It is a great value as this jar will last a long time. The shampoo and conditioner are the first products I tried from Shea Moisture and over the years have tried so many more. I have never been disappointed in anything I have tried. When I first started using this my hair was dry and had a lot of split ends. Overtime, this has really helped my hair become healthier and more resilient. It really helps keep my hair hydrated and manage frizz between washes. The only issue I have is the scent. It definitely smells like the name would suggest; Shea butter and kelp. It's earthy and crunchy. Although it's not my preference, it isn't overwhelming. Regardless of the scent, it's well worth using.
