Other rustic design details like a softly distressed finish coordinate well with the crib's modern, curved feet. A warm and welcoming sleep space your child will use for years to come, this versatile crib features a three-position mattress support that can be lowered as your baby grows. Plus, the crib converts into a toddler bed, daybed and a full size bed for additional value. To complete your nursery, pair the Monterey 4-in-1 Convertible Baby Crib with the Monterey 4 Drawer Dresser with Removable Changing Topper, and other pieces from the Monterey Collection (coordinating pieces sold separately). Q: If you have a tether bitting on this type of crib, would this material chip lead, wood, or any other material? If so what would it be?

submitted by Anonymous - 5 years ago
  • A: Yes absolutely. The wood and everything comes off. I’m currently waiting for a return call from my sons pediatrician because once it gets wet enough the wood finish softens and comes right off. I noticed like white paint on his face when he woke up and half the finish is gone

submitted byDior - 5 years ago
  • A: Mien both left teethmarks on the crib. I think it’s Inevitable though. If they bite a crib, the outer coat will come off

    submitted byMomof2 - 5 years ago
  • A: My daughter is 2 now and she no longer gnaws on the crib, but there's a mess load of teeth marks. My daughter passed the 1 year old lead blood test and is a very talkative and bright 2 yo.

submitted byDWill - 1 year ago
  • A: you can buy rail covers to prevent your kid from biting the rail

submitted byMissyA - 4 years ago
  • A: Mine never left teeth marks on this one.

submitted by Maria - 5 years ago
  • A: Rustic gray definitely looks dark gray.

    submitted byJuanita G - 4 years ago
  • A: Brown, I have this exact bedroom suit.. doesn't look bad though (: rustic white looks grey as I have that one also for my other little one.

submitted byPashcraft - 5 years ago
  • A: Rustic white is gorgeous and definitely gray! We have the rustic white for my son and we LOVE it!

Q: We put a standard sized mattress in the crib and it was too small. What size mattress (in inches) is required for this crib and what brand?

submitted by QT505 - 6 years ago
  • A: We got the Sealy Dual Sided Crib and Toddler Mattress which is a standard sized mattress [51.63 inches (L) x 27.25 inches (W)] and had no issues with fitment.

submitted byerin - 6 years ago
  • A: We got the Simmons Kids Slumbertime ComforPedic 2-in-1 Convertible Crib Mattress by Beautyrest for $129 and it fits perfectly. No dangerous gaps for baby to get caught in and no awkward shoving or squeezing to fit it in either. My now 2 y/o sleeps great on it as a toddler, and the infant side was nice and firm, which is safest for reducing SIDS risk. We’ve been super happy with it!!!

Good the first two years, but now there’s a crack with a big wood splinter, and Delta no longer carries the part to replace the broken piece, despite the product still being sold. For something that’s labeled and priced to be long-lasting, that’s a huge red flag

Concerned mother - 5 months ago
My child has gotten her leg stuck in between the bars 3 times and the bigger she got the worse it was to get her leg out. I am waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. Extreme bruising and denting on the side of her legs. She is 2 1/2. First time this happened she was one. Serious defect in design. Serious injury can occur. Please choose another crib.

Horrible Quality - 10 months ago
My son has only been sleeping in this crib for a little over 6 months and when he wakes up he will bite on the crib and it's caused the "wood" to wear, which clearly can't be good for what he is ingesting in doing that. We have the entire set so the same thing is happening to the book shelf (which he doesn't bite...). I would've just gotten a better quality item for more money if I could go back in time.

Pros: this crib looks nice, it's pretty easy to assemble (I did it by myself while 9 months pregnant), CONS: it is advertised as a convertible crib- the entire crib is $319 but the piece to convert this into a toddler bed is an absolute rip-off. Full price it's $119 and it is the tiniest little piece of wood and the design is terrible. It only covers half of the length of the bed, so outlr toddler rolls out of bed every night, waking her up constantly. Also, like other parents have stated- when your baby is small, expect to wake up frantic in the middle of the night with a screaming baby that got her leg stuck in between the guard rails. It happened twice, and both times she ended up with a bad bruise. The second time was terrible because we could not get her leg out for about 5 minutes. It broke our hearts and we ended up having her sleep in the bed with us for a while because of it. I recommend going with a different crib, if possible. It has design flaws that will injure your child, and be very difficult for baby to get a good night sleep when you convert it into a toddler bed. There are better options out there. The only reason we went with this crib is because at the time a lot of cribs were out of stock. I wish we would have waited to get something safer.....

My son has been using this since he was 6 months old and now he's 3 years old! We've bought the toddler rail and it fit great. Going to convert it to the full bed next year/when he needs more room! Highly recommend. Takes a while to put together but very sturdy and good quality when you do it correctly.

My daughter’s right leg became stuck in the rails and she couldn’t get herself out. I woke up to the sound of her screaming. She was stuck face down. Very scary situation and I’m glad she’s okay. This morning I looked more closely at the reviews and saw so many other people had the same issue. I’m so disappointed. She’s only four months old and now I’m looking into other options.
