Q: Can you put carbonated beverages in this tumbler?

A: Yes, you'll just want to avoid carbonated/sugary drinks in bottles that have some form of a pressure releif valve, as there will be a natural pressure build up that'll push the liquid up. This one is fine though!

Q: The Ocean Geode color looks translucent in the photo, the straw appears faintly visible. Is it made of something different from the stainless steel version?

A: This is actually our stainless version! It is not see through and will indeed insulate your beverage. The pattern on the bottle is shiny and smooth, not a powder-coat.

I take this thing everywhere! I love that it works for hot and cold, so I use it year round. It’s my coffee mug first thing and then water throughout the day. It’s big enough that I don’t run out of water at work but not so huge that I feel silly.

I love this brand and now have 4 of them in our home. I have also purchased this brand for other relatives. I love that this tumbler is dishwasher safe. Other brands I purchased are not, and although I still tend to handwash my tumblers I will put them in the top tray of dishwasher at times to help better sanitize them. Some other brands I purchased in the past are hand wash only and I have 2 that after several uses had the outside shell begin to peel. I have never had that happen with these Simple Modern ones. I love this brand and how well they hold up.

I use this tumbler every day - at the gym, at work, at home. I hand wash only (except once in the dishwasher). It has held up perfectly. It is easy to clean, keeps drinks icy cold, and is SO cute (leopard cream print). I use it with water and sometimes Emergen-C, and I have had no staining of the straw. Highly reocmmend! Love this cute, earth-friendly cup!

I use it every morning for iced coffee and the ice doesn’t melt as fast or at all depending on the amount I poured in to begin with. Honestly compared to my Stanley it’s a lot better. In my Stanley my drink stays cold but the ice melts while this cup, the drink stays cold and the ice doesn’t melt

Since I have purchased the tumbler, my drinks have not stayed cold for longer than an hour. When I place ice in the tumbler it immediately melts. The ice lasts longer in a glass or cup than in this tumbler. I’m extremely disappointed in this purchase. It would have been more worth it to just spend the extra $10 and get a Stanley cup so I would not have this issue.

I have the sage green one. In my opinion it's the best color. Love its minimal design. I changed out the plastic straw for a metal one, which seems nicer IMO. I really appreciate the thin lid or cap, it works well and is waterproof without needing to overtighten it. I believe that was the issue some were having possibly with it because it's thin it can be hard to loosen if you hulk close it! It's a great size/ not too large and bulky, and keeps drinks cold for a whole 1-2days I'm happy

I don’t get the hype behind the Stanley cups. I actually prefer Simply Modern, it’s more affordable and I don’t need the handle. The 24 oz is the perfect size for my daily home made iced coffees. Does a great job of keeping it cold.

I specifically purchased this item because it was listed as Dishwasher Safe. Enjoyed it so I purchased additional colors that turned out to be Hand Wash Only. If a product is going to have separate cleaning instructions I would expect for it to be listed as 2 separate items rather that one item that comes in multiple colors with multiple Instructions.

Good, basic thermos for water and fits in your car cup holder (and not obnoxiously like the Stanley size), but the lid is impossible to get off when the liquid is 1/4 full. Maybe it’s the suction, but I’ve hurt my wrist trying to get the lid off.

This cup leak with or without the straw, the top leaks. Guess I will have to spend $50 on a Brumate! Dont buy this tumbler if you are looking for spill proof. It is a cute cup and it is lite weight.

I have the winter white, pale orchid and just bought the pink. The ice remains for over 24 hours in the winter white and pale orchid cup. 9 hours in to my 12 hour shift I noticed the ice was completed melted in the pink cup. It may have happened sooner but that’s when I noticed.
