I've had good experiences with Skil's brand of tools and the price was reasonable. So I decided to purchase this over other brands. I did some light cutting with the saw and it was great. you could feel the 13 amp saw cutting through the 2x4s with ease. The only thing that could be troublesome in the long run is the weight of the saw. if It was to be use continually, you might have to give your wrists and arms a rest. Changing the blade was an ease. My old saw. I had to use an Allen wrench to loosen a few screws before the blade can be removed. Just that alone. It is a great upgrade from my old saw.

Reciprocating saw works excellent. Has enough power to take down a medium-sized tree. Utilized it for 2 to 3 hours at a time without any issues.

Overall, this is an excellent tool. Ergonomically good, performance good. I appreciate that I can use it for a prolonged time w/o it getting too hot where I need to handle it. I wish the blade attachment (so far, it hasn’t not worked) was a little easier to use.

This saw is JUST what we needed. My small remodeling and handyman business has had bad luck with saws in the past but after one use, this saw had proven itself. It is a powerful unit for sure but it is incredibly comfortable to handle. Vibration is kept at a minimum compared to units we've used in the past which is monumental on demo days. I love it! Zero-regrets purchase!

Amazing and very powerful! I've had a 6 amp reciprocating for the last 20 years which died last month. I said to myself "I'll buy the Skil 13 amp saw" What a great reciprocating saw!!!

The worst thing about this saw is how hot it gets within 10 minutes of use. Too hot to hold. I have had many saws over the past 40 years. I'm not a beginner. A nice feature would be an oscillating setting.

The saw is quite powerful and significantly less noisy than my older Craftsman reciprocating saw. I used it with a 12 inch pruning blade to cut down a palm trees in my backyard. The process was quite easy with the Skil saw. I am quite happy with it

This Skil reciprocating saw helped me remove some overgrown shrubs. The extensive roots made it too hard of a job using a shovel and axe. The Skil saw was all I needed to cut through the roots to easily remove the shrubs. It cost me less than $100 to save an estimated $500 - $1000 to have the job done.

I've never had a full sized reciprocating saw before so have nothing to compare it to. That said, reviews I have read about its power, comfort and overall well-madeness seem accurate. I'm definitely happy with it and it's a heavy chunk of machine that I expect may last awhile. I've only used it twice for small jobs so time will tell.
