Skip Hop Discoverosity Montessori-Inspired 3-Stage Activity Center and Play Table

I purchased this for my five-month-old daughter for Christmas and it is awful. While it does occupy her attention very well, the contraption itself is incredibly rickety and wobbles a lot that it is borderline unsafe for her to be in it. 0/10 recommend.

Unfortunately this is not Montessori or Montessori inspired. Montessori pedagogy discourages the use of “containers” such as these and opts for giving your child ample opportunities to explore how their body moves and works through floor time. Montessori does not solely mean natural and neutral colored toys, while they are encouraged in a prepared space that is not the only piece of the Montessori puzzle. Please please do some research if you are interested in the Montessori approach, as this is not necessary aligned!

Is baby supposed to be on tip toes or flat feet? Is there a height max?

I bought this after doing lots of research! I love this style because it can be used for years to come!

We had the older model for baby sister and some noticeable differences that I like are the Woden accents on the legs. They match with the wooden accents in the nursery furniture. I like that the new version is more square also! I like the new feature they added on the “foot panel” where you can store colors/markers into it once it is turned into a table instead of having the piano at the bottom. I like how you’re still able to attach the toys in what ever space you want and the added feature where you can put your own picture into the toy as well! I know the newest addition to the family will love this just as much as baby sister loved the last version!

Super sturdy, solid wood legs, even the toys attached to the activity table were high quality and not flimsy -hopefully will withstand my very active kids! Both my 8 month old and my 2 year old are obsessed with this activity table. Only problem it’s caused is my toddler gets jealous every time my baby is using it 😅. It’s also just really cute and not obnoxious looking like a lot of kids’ toys and products. 10/10 recommend!

From the beginning I opened the box, I was amazed on how good it looks, the colors are amazing, it’s soft colors. It’s sturdy and strong. It’s combination of good wood, metal and thick plastic. It’s so safe. It’s easy to install and it has 3 stages ! My son now is 4 years old and he is autistic so he still enjoy the sensory toys but use this more as a play table. And I’m sure he still can use it even after he goes to school as a study desk. The sensory toys that it has also are good ones that kid needs. It is not just ordinary table but also can be use to sit, swivel, bounce, cruise & interaction for baby and younger toddler. My friend is now expecting, I definitely recommend it to her. She can buy this and it can be used for so many years !
