Assembly didn't seem complicated, but the screws were all extremely difficult to get in. They were all not threaded properly, didn't line up properly, etc. Took 2 1/2 hours to put to gether, and a lot of frustration. Had to take apart and start again twice. I like the chair, but I wouldn't recommend for this reason.
