Slime's 12V Tire Inflator is a lean, mean inflating machine. It has got the essentials, without any added bulk. It may be compact, but the tire inflator packs one heck of a punch. Slime's 12V Tire Inflator also features 3 bright LEDs to light your way, when all other lights have gone out. With the flip of a switch, the inflator springs to life, easily airing up your car tires. Q: Does it measure the PSI in your tire as your pumping it? Or does it only report the amount of air you have put in your tire?

A: The moment the pump hose is connected to the tire stem the pump's dial will indicate the air pressure inside the tire.
submitted byPaul - 6 years agoA: This tire inflator measures the amount of air as you are inflating the tire. So you will be able to watch the gauge dial steadily move up while more air is being pumped in.
submitted bySlime Product Expert - 7 years agoBrand expertA: I think it does, looking at the picture, there's a gauge on the pump, with units bar/psi, I don't believe that means the amount of air went in. It also doesn't make sense to track the amount of air pumped to be honest. Combined with the slime product expert's anwser, I think as you pump, the reading on the gauge will keep going up, indicating the pressure in the tyre.

I am writing to express my frustration regarding a product I purchased from target. After only few times of use, the slime tire inflator stopped working completely. I have attempted to reach their support team multiple times via both phone and email, but I have not received any response. The product was sold with a one-year warranty, which I believed would ensure coverage in cases like this. However, based on my experience, it seems this warranty is not being honored, and I feel that I am being left with no options.

This works like a charm for a little while. This is my second one in 2 years. The 12v battery connection device has come apart on BOTH devices leaving me stranded. Neither device lasted more than 9 months. Discount Tire has seen me a lot and A super family owned service shop in the middle of nowhere came to the rescue. A foot pump might be more reliable.

I've had three of these things, and they have all died within a few months, at times when my tires get way lower than they should be. Would not recommend for anyone needing a tire inflator on the road.

Returned the item. It’s very small but when runs makes sound like a big motor. The gauge does not give accurate reading. But the worst part is the rattle. Eden it runs, you can’t keep it on the floor just by itself. Because it’s small and light weight, when runs it rattles and moves quite violently. You have to keep holding it. Not worth the hassle.

It’s almost as if they mixed up the PSI and metric measurements on the gauge—close but not exact. I used my (always accurate) digital pressure gauge and the PSI value is off by approximately 20 pounds (pump reads 51, digital gauge at 32.5). The pump works fine as a pump. The screw-on chuck is not ideal. I would prefer the flip type chuck for quicker removal with minimal air loss.

I was a little hesitant to buy due to some of the bad reviews, but decided to take the chance and just buy it because my tires were low. It was super easy to use and did the job perfectly, it plugs right into your cigarette lighter. Definitely recommend if you need one on the go!

I have owned two other 12 volt tire inflators and this is by far the best. In store this item was marked $27.99 so make sure you price match and get the price down to the online price. For $17.99 the current online price this is a bargain. I looked at the next size up Slime 12 volt inflator and the specs are almost EXACTLY the same. Buy this one to save money and save space in your vehicle. This unit is quieter than any other I have owned and doesn't become 1000 degrees after inflating a tire. At a higher price point I would say look at other brands but at the online price of $17.99 you really can't go wrong. One thing that I am not sure if I like yet or not is the end of the air hose has to be screwed on instead of what I am use to which is the flip lock end. Oh almost forgot the dial that shows air pressure while your inflating actually works. All my other units the gauge never worked. My 5 stars is given because of the price. If it was more exspensive I wouldn't have given it 5 stars because I would expect the quality to be better but for $17.99 this is really a good deal on a compressor that you will not use but in emergencies or the occasional mattress inflate.
