Q: How large is the inside metal opening that fits onto the light to secure the shade? I had one that is 1 3/8" but for my new light I need 1 5/8". Please advise. Thank you!

Much better quality than I was expecting, but I got it for a small table lamp and it’s way too big. I tried it on a slightly bigger lamp and it doesn’t look right on that one either. This would be better for a medium table lamp or maybe even a floor lamp.
