[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is rated for ages 8 and up, and I think that is a good age range. My 10 year old nephew enjoyed putting it together, and quickly figured out the way it works. It’s fun to see the pieces come together into something real. This is not the clearest sounding radio, and you can’t “tune” it to specific stations, but it is fun to make and have a product that does something at the end. It says 4 projects on the box, but not clear on what that means, until you open it, you can make 4 different items after recycling the same parts (I.e. radio then a kazoo, but not both at the same time). It’s nice that the packaging doubles as the base board for the projects as well. It’s a bit difficult to get the pieces to snap into the board at first, but it works. I received an incentive to write this review.

With over 55 snap-together parts, it allows users to build a working FM radio while learning about circuits and electronics. The assembly process is simple, and the clear instructions make it easy to follow. Once built, the radio picks up FM stations with decent sound quality. While not as advanced as commercial radios, it offers great hands-on learning and an introduction to basic electronics. Overall, it’s a rewarding and engaging way to explore STEM concepts. I would reccomend this product. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These STEM toys are absolutely awesome! I got this one for my six year old son because he is really into music. He is going to think this is so cool when he opens this on Christmas Day! The manual is a huge help and you absolutely have to follow every single step of it to ensure that you have the correct connections. The speaker is awesome quality too after you put it together! I can’t wait for him to see this, he will love it!! This is a must buy if you are worried about having educational toys like I am. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased Build Your Own FM Radio by Snap Circuits. My son really enjoys STEM activities. We have used Snap Circuits in the past so I knew that this was a high quality product. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. My son was able to complete this project independently. The only extra item needed was 3 AA batteries. One fun feature my son found is not only is it a radio but by touching different connector points it can also make several instrument sounds. I appreciated the slide bar for volume control. One great benefit of Snap Circuits is that the sets all work together so the possibles for creating are endless. It is definitely worth the investment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a super STEM project to build your own radio. This is a fun product in bright colors that was easy to assemble. It easily snapped into place and most importantly it worked straight away. You do need to provide three AA batteries for power input as they are not in the kit. The instructions were easy to follow and all of the pieces were there. My 8 year old got a real buzz when she heard the music and radio stations come through. It would make a great gift. I received an incentive to write this review.
