After using this product, my dog instantly started yelping and pulling up her paws. I was hoping that this expensive ice melt would be worth it, but it clearly is not. I will be returning, and I will just purchase the cheap stuff and put booties on her paws. Would not recommend.

We get quite a bit of cold weather where I live and need to have our sidewalks and driveway clear for us, guests, etc. This ice melt worked very well. I was able to sprinkle it down on areas on my way out of the house first-thing-in-the-morning and while I was running errands it did its' job and I was able to safely carry groceries up our steps and into the house. We have young children and older friends (plus it is delivery season and we need those drivers to get the packages to our door safely!), so it is important they can walk safely as well. Knowing that our pets and our neighbors' are not in danger of burnt paws is a huge relief. I also appreciate that this is less damaging to surrounding vegetation. We work all spring and summer for a nice lawn and destroying it during the winter is not ideal.

It shows a blue green color when you spread it, too make it easy to see where it is going. Our sidewalk and driveway were clear in no time! Safe for all the delivery folks, and guests! Pet safe bonus!!

This product worked very well on my composite decking to melt ice, and I love that it is safe for our pets and wildlife. Did not need to use a lot of product to achieve desired effect. A little goes a long way.

This product was so easy to open and use . It makes me so happy i dont have to worry about my pets getting sick anymore . This product works on contact and its the quickest and the best i found . We have 3 kids and 2 dogs so it is important to keep them and anyone else using our walkways safe. Snow Joe is a great brand and it works really well with melting ice. We get the pet friendly version to keep our pets safe. The formula works fast to melt the ice and I feel good about throwing it down and leaving for the day. It is safer for your lawn and vehicles than most brands that I've found as it is made with an eco-friendly formula. Not only does it do it's job I feel better using it around my pets and children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I got to try the Snow Joe MELT20PET Pet Friendly Premium Ice Melt just in time for the 6+ inches of snow we just got! The process was easy, just sprinkle the ice melt where needed and wait. I sprinkled it all over our sidewalk, porch, driveway, etc. There is still snow on the ground but that slippery black ice was gone! I have a 7 year old daughter and 2 dogs that are frequently outside. I feel good knowing they can go outside and play safely. The 20 pound bag should last me for quite awhile too, I didn’t sprinkle but maybe half a cup of each areas. So thankful this year to have ice melt to keep my family and dogs safe! The back of the bag gives useful tips of how to use the ice melt and when. Definitely suggest Snow Joe MELT20PET Pet Friendly Premium Ice Melt for anyone that lives in icy states!

Didn't have to use very much of it and it worked wonders! I will continue to buy this product even if I have to order it online! I also got the pet friendly stuff . It's nice to know that he will be safe when we have to take him down the back steps in the winter.
