submitted bySodaStream Product Expert - 2 years agoA: Went to my local target where I usually take my empty canisters to but the Target guest services rep told me that they haven't got any of the exchange refill bottles for over a month and its because SodaStream is going out of business. They have new bottles for sale but those don't qualify for the trade in discounts.

Now we have extra cylinders we don't know what to do with... Call ahead and make sure your Target does exchanges before purchasing!

Q: How many servings to your get from one cylinder?

submitted bySodaStream Product Expert - 5 years agoBrand expertA: I like to use the medium to highest carbonation button on our One Touch Sodastream as we use it pretty regularly. I fill on average 4 bottles with different flavors at the beginning of the week and I feel we get about 8-10 weeks give or take a week out of each C02 Carbonator. I also don't fill the cap for each flavor all the way as 1/2-3/4 of a cap is plenty of flavoring for us. We have an autistic child and this beverage maker was the answer to being able to enjoy a fizzy drink without all that high fructose corn syrup and other unhealthy ingredients that's in everything these days.
submitted byCabinfever - 5 years agoA: I use a high amount of fizz (3 or 4 two sec pumps) and it lasts exactly 40 bottles. So nearly the same as above answer. So drinking 1 or 2 bottles a day, I have to replace about once a month.

Q: is this a standard 60l carthridge? are drinkmate and sodastream interchangable?
A: I have a drink mate and I use the sodastream blue bottles with the threaded twist on without a problem. Save yourself time and money and buy the SodaStream bottles. Will not void the warranty.

Q: How many drinks can you get out of one can of the CO2 bottle?
A: It depends how bubbly you like your water! Each carbonating cylinder sparkles approximately 60 Liters of water.
submitted bySodaStream Product Expert - 4 years agoBrand expertA: We had used our first CO2 bottle and it lasted a full 9 weeks. We didn't keep track the amounts, but we estimate about 6 liters/week, so approximately 55 liters or more. Then we bought an Exchange cylinder, which only lasted less than 3 weeks -- even if we had used it more than before (let's say 10 liters/week), we got less than 30 liters, but it was more like 18L. Something was wrong, and we are convinced that the cylinder was not fully filled. I hope the next refill will be better.

Q: Am I correct in saying that I could take this carbonator to a restaurant beverage supplier for it to be refilled? I'm assuming that's what Soda Stream does otherwise why exchange them? It would be much more cost effective and a lot faster at least for us.
A: Ask the beverage supplier if they can. The canisters have unique fittings that they may not be able to refill.
submitted bySteve - 5 years agoA: The canister is purposefully designed to be hard to refill. Your local gas supplier may not want to go through the hassle. You could however get the necessary equipment to refill this finicky canister yourself and have the gas supplier refill a different, easy cannister

Q: This is a filled cartridge, right? It doesn’t need to be filled, it already has co2 in it?
A: Correct, this is filled. Additionally, you can exchange empty cartridges at Target guest services. It's nice to have a few back ups and exchange for filled ones.
