I love this cocktail shaker! It's so pretty and gets cold so quickly when you add ice to it. I love that it comes with a muddler and a whole book of recipes (and it's cute enough to be a coffee table book). The only issue is that now I want to drink all the time...

As soon as you receive it you will know you have a great quality product before you even open the box. Break the seal and flip open the lid and you will find all your pieces beautifully laid out for you to view. You will also find a very nice Sparkly Cocktails recipe book tucked away neatly at the top. Inside you will find 2 stainless steel ice spheres (cloth carrying pouch included), 1 SodaStream dosing jigger, 1 cocktail shaker, 1 cocktail stirrer and 1 muddler. All are a nice stainless steel which gives a great look and an easy cleanup. This product is a no questions asked 5 stars and I cannot recommend this one enough! The ice sphere is awesome and works great to keep the drink from getting watered down. The recipe book is also a great bonus that has recipes specific for use with the sodastream maker and flavoring drops.

The set seems great, but the shipping was so gross. I ordered this and cat litter at the same time, and they arrived in the same box with no padding. The cat litter had exploded and this set had litter in every crevice and stuck to each piece. Very unappetizing. So keep in mind that the packaging has gaps.

The shaker strainer works very well. My favorite part is actually the steel balls to use instead of ice. Great addition. The drink book that comes with the set has very fancy drinks. I don’t see myself making any of them but still a nice touch.

The metal balls for freezing are effective, but they are heavy, so be sure to use a spoon to lower them into a glass to prevent breaking. They come with a cloth baggie to store safely in the freezer, but that should also likely be washed occasionally. The balls make a delightful clink when rolling around during the drinking process. The cocktails we tried are delicious, and the book is filled with a whole variety of tasty-sounding options, including a series of non-alcoholic options. Lemongrass Cooler was delicous; the Sangria Blanca was fruity, spiced, and amazing; and the non-alcoholic Lazy Summer was a refreshing blueberry mint. The included grapefruit flavor is also delicious. If you stick to the 1/8 teaspoon serving, it's light, subtle, and refreshing. Add a bit more if you want a bit more bitterness, but I'd hesitate to add more than a 1/4 teaspoon; it's quite potent. We used it just to flavor sparkling water and it was a perfectly uplifting addition. All in all, this is a great little kit with some great twists on delectable cocktails, and the grapefruit flavoring should be used with subtlety to enhance even your water.

It’s great with vodka, I didn’t try it with any other liquors. The shaker makes it easy to get a cold drink going and overall I think it will be durable over use and time.
