Q: Hi, I love the Old formula as I have allergies and it did not have a scent. I can not use the new formula. Will you still be producing the old formulas also? If not you have lost a lifelong customer,

submitted by Luciditi - 2 years ago
  • A: I have been searching for the unscented, too, after many years of use. I am allergic to perfume! There is nothing "fresh" about perfume, only more chemicals. Please return the old recipe to shelves

  • A: Yes, the smell changed and I do not like it. I buy the Trarget brand,Up & Up, now.

  • A: I agree completely. It is awful that after all these years of using this Softsoap product that Colgate would change the formula without making the original unsented available anymore.

Q: Is this soap antibacterial? It doesn't say so anywhere on the packaging.

submitted by Cathy - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi! This particular variant of Softsoap is not an antibacterial. All of our Softsoap Hand Soaps when used as part of proper hand washing will wash away bacteria. The Antibacterial Softsoap variant is clinically proven to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria* while doing so. In terms of COVID-19, the virus is so new that neither we, nor other companies that we are aware of, have tests specifically for it. The CDC and the FDA say regular handwashing, particularly before and after certain activities, is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others. Hope this helps.
