Rated highly by Consumer Labs. I really like the glass container. Bone density has actually increased a bit since I started taking this a few years ago.

I cannot remember when I started taking it but it absolutely has power. One of my doctors prescribed it years ago. I combine it with 3 Solgar tablets of Calc,Mg & Zinc. I take it in between dinner and Sleep. In the past few months my current Dr. advised me to take an injection of D3 weekly. I obliged but I felt it was overdone. At that point I consulted with Dr. #1 and he suggested taking the injection 1x month. Will probably get blood test before I do that. I am now 82 years old & the D3 capsule is a necessary part of my daily regimen of supplements

I buy this particular form of vitamin D because it's in a powdered capsule, without additional oils and other ingredients. I also like the fact that it's 5,000 i.u. My husband and I are both taking it. The price is a little steep, but you get a lot for the money.

This is the kind my doctor perscribed for me . But I chose to get this brand from Swanson because it does a wonderful job and is less expensive. I really like Solgar products anyway and I get them whenever possible.
