Q: A couple of reviews said that the back of the rug is hard and rough. Will the 7’x10’ size rug in the tan color have the latex backing so it won’t scratch my hardwood floors?

A: The 4x5 does have non slip backing the 5x7 I ordered does not and can not be washed in washing machine
submitted byShopper - 5 years agoA: I ordered this rug 3 times in 5x7 and 2 out of the 3 times it did not have the latex backing. The first time I ordered it it did but had a large, stretched out spot on it so we returned it. The latex backing was important to us as it was for my toddlers room and we did not want it to shift and move on our hardwood floors. Without the latex backing, the rug was very scratchy and slick. After our third try, we gave up and looked elsewhere.

A: It’s very easy to vacuum. It’s not a very thick pile. It’s similar to the thickness of wall to wall Berber carpeting. I have the 5’x7’ version and I use a dyson v8 on it easily.

A: It's fine with my Roomba so far. Only had it a couple weeks (Dec '24), but all good. Doesn't slide, very low pile. Roomba doesn't seem to snag or get stuck on the corners.

A: I didn't smell anything on the gray runner I bought, and I have a nose like a bloodhound. FYI-purchased just a couple wks ago in early Dec '24.

Q: For the 2x7 runner, it is listed as being 84" long. The tag on the rug also says 84". However, the rug we purchased actually measures 87". Is it possible if we reorder another one it will be cut to the correct length of 84" instead of 87"?

Q: Is this rug going to hold together in the washing machine? The care instructions are to spot or wipe clean but a previous answer suggested throwing it in the washing machine to keep looking new.

Q: You did NOT answer the previous persons question which asks whether the rug is good or bad when being vaccumed on (will it be sucked up into the vaccum cleaner or is it solid enough to be pulled into the vaccum cleaner.

A: Check my answer. Mine vacuums easily. It’s barely thicker than the binding around the edges. The pictures make it seem very thick, which it is not. It’s surprisingly soft and very easy to maintain.

This is my 2nd set of these, I only replaced my old ones because I spilled an entire container of laundry detergent on them. I’ve had them in my laundry/mud room for a few years. They keep the dirt, mud, leaves and other debris from being tracked throuhgh the house. They hold up well, stay in place and look good. They vacuum easily, and are a great price. Highly recommend.

We purchased this rug when it was called Solid Washable Accent Rug - Made by Design. We washed it and it completely disintegrated in our washing machine, breaking the machine. When we reached out for support, Target said we had the wrong order number even though I shared our order confirmation email with the order number and receipt information. They said there was nothing they could do. They kept saying they couldn’t find that order number and therefore couldn’t help, even though we have the confirmation, shipping and delivery emails all with the number. We are going to be out hundreds of dollars to repair or replace machine and Target won’t do anything to help.

I was looking for a mat that would perfectly fit my tight entry way / front door so when we come into the house we have a mat to step on with our dirty shoes. This mat is perfect sized, and it is not too thick or too thin. It fits under my door perfectly. It is easy to vacuum over, and it is machine washable. The comments are right though; overtime I do have some pilling, but it doesn’t bother me since it’s just an entry door mat. I do intend to repurchase again if/when the fabric pills too much and/or if that causes trouble in opening/closing my door in the future. I hope that Target never gets rid of, or replaces, this product. It’s a basic must-have item in every household!
