A: The Sonos Beam allows you to stream - via wifi using the Sonos app - music, radio, podcasts, and audiobooks from all your favorite services when the TV is off. Streaming content using the Sonos app provides far more choices and better sound quality.

Q: Does it include a remote control ? Is there a way other than the app to adjust the volume of the tv? Thanks appreciate the help as this is for my parents who are not very tech savvy. Much appreciated

A: Hello, besides the App you can tap or swipe the top of the soundbar to pause and adjust the volume. Also, the soundbar syncs with your existing TV remote for streamlined control. The beam does not come with a dedicated remote. Hope this helps.

We really like this, it has great sound and was for the most part easy to hook up. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 though, because some of the instructions were pretty unclear. For example I wanted to download music from my computer, and I eventually figured out that I needed the sonos app on my computer to do that. It took me more time than it should to find the app. Couldn't find it in the app store, nor the sonos site. Tried various searches on the sonos site before I finally came across the download link. Once that was done, the music downloaded very quickly (few minutes) and I have a LOT of music. Music sounds better than my bose player that I had been using.

We wanted to upgrade the sound for our 65" OLED. After lots of research, I though the Sonos Beam Gen 2 would be the best soundbar to do that task. For the sub $500 price, there isn't a better solo soundbar out there right now. The Dolby Atmos and suround sound effects are very impressive. Dialogue from shows and movies is very clear. And it gets surprising loud for its small size. It does sometimes lack a bit of the low end when playing certain music and certain movie sound effects, but that's about the only struggle it has and can easily be fixed by adding a dedicated sub. Simply put I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking to get an improved sound from their tv at a reasonable price point.

This device is only marginally better than the built in speakers on my Samsung TV. It lacks any tonal depth, sounding underpowered and tinny. I am so pleased with my 3 other Sonos devices, but this one is a HUGE disappointment.
