Q: Can theXE-200 be left on Charge?

A: Hello Taylorj, We highly recommend disconnecting the USB cable from the speaker upon completion of battery charging and be sure to close the cap securely especially when not using. The speaker can be used while charging. The XE200 has a Line-Shape Diffuser that will help your music reach further, even to the side of the speaker. Inspired by the audio systems used at professional concerts, our unique Line-Shape Diffuser creates line source and distributes the sound energy evenly, across a wide sound front, to better fill your space with audio. If you want to leave this plugged in and charging at all times it will work but may decrease the battery charge level over time. A: Hi Ana, Thanks for the inquiry! The Sony SRSXE200 doesn't have a microphone input. But, it has a built-in microphone so you can enjoy hands-free calls with a smartphone or mobile phone that supports the BLUETOOTH profile HFP (Hands-free Profile) or HSP (Headset Profile) via BLUETOOTH connection. Note: Some smartphones or mobile phones have handset use priority when receiving a call. In the case of the HFP or HSP connection, switch the call device to the speaker by operating your smartphone or mobile phone. A: Hi Toya, Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, the speaker doesn't have a USB charging output port. If you need a speaker that is capable of charging a USB device such as a smartphone or an iPhone, you may want to consider the SRS-XG300. The SRS-XE200 is still an amazing speaker. The XE200 speaker sends sound out from a small, compact unit. You can spread sound wider with the Line-Shape Diffuser and enjoy powerful sound pressure and clarity with the X-Balanced Speaker, all housed inside a portable speaker with a handy strap. -Ralph

I already had two of these and used them in different rooms. I bought six more to create the party link. Unfortunately, it is near impossible to get these to connect without constant interruptions. I think I have finally worked it out - I should keep my phone beside the one that I am connected to on bluetooth then the other five will work nearly perfectly; but the instructions do not advise of this. I would hate to have 200 of these connected only for them to not work! Individually however these are fabulous - really good sound quality and robust design. The party connect lets it down, and I would guess that is why they were discontinued after just a few years on sale.

I am using this bluetooth speaker as a race starter, counting down from a recording on my phone. I like the light blue colour, that it is waterproof and has a clear loud sound out of doors.

we are a small park of happy mobile/static caravaners, every weekend we get together, from 8 - 30 0f us around the table ((can't have a camp fire, its banned, well we are all OAP's) there were other sound boxes but when our SONY came ,that was it. they even dance now.

Bought this as it said it had 16 hour battery life and get 60 min pkay time off 10 min charge but thats not the case it runs out off battery after about 4 hours and takes hours to charge

I have been happy with the sound quality. However, the claim of 16 hours of playing time I have not found to be even close to accurate. I have used this sparingly and am constantly receiving low battery warnings and needing to recharge. I would estimate that I am really getting less than 8 hours of playing time out of this speaker.
