METAL TORE!...(see photos) I have never loaded this machine over 120 pounds. I use it for therapy on a severely broken foot. The vendor (Aosom) first told me that “at this time” we don’t carry replacement parts. I’ve owned this a few years so I would say it’s about time they do. This broke on the metal stem that supports the user AND all the weight. If this broke off completely it could severely hurt you. For me it broke with only 100 pounds loaded. Imagine if it broke loaded with the 440 pounds Aosom rates it for. I told Aosom that people in the U.S.A expect properly used tubular steel exercise equipment to last a lifetime. Who ever heard of tubular steel tearing? This machine is junk that could possibly seriously hurt the user.
Good product for the money.

For a home gym athlete it's very good. You WILL need to purchase roller pads: the flat pads provided shifted after only 20 or 30 sets and became very uncomfortable. It is not designed for heavy workouts, say above 200 lbs. I use only 50 to 100 lbs. and it works great!

Regardless , of what negative comments were made for this product, i give it 4 out of 5 stars overall. The only issues i have with this seated calf machine, is that the directions aren't the greatest and its not what you would find in a gym for quality. BUT, for the price of this compared to the more expensive versions, you Can't beat the price. If you are looking to build calf muscles, well don't overlook this model. It does its job, then some.Though it may work a little flimsy at times, its all about the control of the weight you are using, as like any lifting exercise you perform. It comes with the 2" plate adapters, but you really do not need them, for the 1" clips work just fine to keep the weight stable. Make sure you put this unit on a flat surface for the best stability, otherwise you will have a few problems. Other than that, it is a great addition to a home gym, and really doesn't take up much space. I am glad i spent for this unit over the more expensive ones on the market.Just remember, you do NOT need to load plates on this unit, for if the exercises are done properly and in a slow control manner, you will see the gains with just adequate weights . One last thing, it is great to use this machine near or at the end of a leg workout, where its just your calves doing all the work.
Nice machine!

Good machine. Easy to put together. My only complaint is the Olympic weight adapters are supposed to be held on with coil clamp wing clips which is annoying if you¡¯re trying to add weights quickly since you have to take em off to slide the plates on. I super glued the adapters onto the the 1¡± weight bar to solve the problem but a better low profile clip that¡¯s smaller than the 2¡± circumference would be a good fix. Its great for the home and I¡¯d say for the price, as expected. Shipping was quick. All in all I¡¯m satisfied and happy with my purchase.

We are very pleased with the quality, construction and operation of this equipment. It is simple, operates smoothly, and is comfortable, at a price that makes it a real bargain. Being able to use our 1" and/or our 2" plates is a much appreciated feature. This will be a long-lasting part of our workout regimen.

Builds in about 20 mins, you probably want a socket wrench for best results to make sure it's sturdy. That being said it feels rock solid after I built it and can support most light to medium exercises on it.
Very solid product!

Use a torque wrench - allen key provided is not adequate. Follow this advice and you'll get a rock solid bench at the end. And it'll be much faster and fun to build. Use the allen key and everything will wobble. To me, that's not a product defect.
Nice product for the price compared to more expensive ones

I've had it for a few weeks and its holding up well and I'm noticing results. The pads aren't very supportive but I usually try to adjust the positioning for more comfort. Overall it's a great deal for the price but may be a challenge for some people to piece together. It's worth the time though.

This machine is really good. I finally found something to work out my calves effectively. Putting this machine together is very time consuming and tiring but once I got it together, I've been using it consistently ever since. I look forward to leg day now that I have this. Thanks so much for such a great product. WORTH IT!

Decent machine for the price. However there was a busted plastic slide when I unboxed it, even though the box did not look damaged. That said, I was able to get it to work ok.

The welds are laughably bad but nothing that looks immediately dangerous. And what I mean is examine the machine every few workouts to make sure everything is copacetic. I expect this to last a couple years, tops. My overall rating is because of my satisfaction relative to the price point: it's worth what I paid.

Welding Defect, equipment aligned incorrectly

I noticed something odd when I putting together this equipment. The bar that goes up and down was crooked to the equipment. Just to be sure I didn't I make a mistake, I went over the directions multiple times and everything was correct. Later I noticed a crooked weld which was the reason for the incorrect alignment .The equipment is very flimsy, not sure if it's because of the bad weld/crooked alignment or the equipment is poorly designed.
