Q: Is the back finished so it could be placed at a right angle to a wall rather than against it?

A: Some of the pieces are finished on the back, but the large panels that slide in are not.

Q: How tall is the cabinet inside without the shelf? I need to fit something of a certain height inside and would not need the shelf. How high off the floor does this sit (how tall are the legs?)?

submitted byLc - 8 years agoA: Legs are approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. Inside is 20 inches, but there is a 2 inch lip. If it's something you can put at an angle it will fit. We do this to fit our bbq propane tanks in.
submitted byAztecgirl - 8 years agoA: Interior height without shelf = 19 1/2" (although the opening itself is 17 5/8", so the extra space can only be used if the item can be tilted while inserting rather than fully upright). Legs extend 3 1/2" from lowest point (the trim), but the underside actually has 5 1/2" clearance. The 2" trim goes all the way around the bottom so only items less than 3 1/2" could be slid underneath, unless tilted. Hope this helps.

Q: How far down in the back is finished? I want to put it behind my couch, but would be a couple inches above the back.

A: The back isn't finished, it is just unpainted particle board on the back. You could probably paint it though.

Q: Are the inside shelves split in the middle by a divider or is it one long shelf inside? I have some long dishes that will be too wide if the shelves are split in half.

A: There is one shelf inside that runs the width of the buffet so any long piece that you have should fit as long as width and depth don't exceed the inside cabinet. The shelf can be adjusted as well - I ended up moving mine up so the shelf holds items that are around ~6 inches high and the lower stable shelf/cabinet bottom can store taller items like pitchers, tall glassware, etc.

A: The cabinet is made of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) construction. It is not scratch proof. It has a painted finish which can be easily spot or wiped clean.

Would be a pretty nice buffet. But when we were putting it together we noticed multiple pieces were scratched up. Not really a big deal. But then we got to one of the very last steps which is to put the top on. The top piece has a deep gauge in it. At this point what would we do? Take it all apart and try to somehow fit it back in the box the way it came? Not very happy with it at all. Yeah it’s extra storage, but that big eyesore right on the top is just disappointing. Not worth the money we paid.

Love this buffet for my kitchen! It took me about 2 hours to put together but probably would take less with 2 people. The doors were annoying to put on alone but with a 2nd person would be easy. It’s the perfect size for my kitchen and I’m so happy with it! Not sure how it will hold up over time but I’m really happy with it for now.

This buffet looks pretty nice in my dining room and is the perfect size to hold all my infrequently used kitchen appliances. However, I’m pretty disappointed in the packaging during shipping and quality of the pieces. Obviously none of these build-it-yourself pieces are ever all that great in quality, but I’m pretty disappointed in this one given what I paid for it. There was a deep gouge in one of the front-facing legs, and one of the doors has places where it looks like the finish rubbed off during shipping and is warped to where it doesn’t lie flat against the cabinet.

This was a LOT bigger than I thought. And it was very simple to assemble. I did it by myself within 45 minutes. The doors gave me a run for my money, but they are on. Lol Very sturdy. I noticed it rocked a bit, but I just tightened down the side screws and it didnt move at all! It is very very heavy in the box, but when you put it all together, it doesn't feel that heavy. There are nice rubber feet so it doesn't scratch the flooring. I bought it on sale, so it was totally worth every penny. It's not solid wood, but it is very well built. If you're thinking about it. Do it.

This table was a lot bigger and sturdier than I expected! My husband put it together in about an hour by himself, without a problem. It came with one small scratch, not too noticeable. It does scratch pretty easily, my toddler already has put two scratches on it, but again they are not noticeable unless you are up close. Looks great in my kitchen for some extra storage and counter space!

Just received and put it together last night. Took about a little over an hour by myself. Looks great, luckily no issues. Originally the doors were not aligned after I put it together, but my floor is also not perfectly straight, so I loosened the side bolts, adjusted the buffet, and tightened the bolts back up and that did the trick. Haven't had a chance to put anything on or in the buffet yet, but it seems like it will be sturdy. The only thing I see may be an issue is scratching the top of it, so I will prob. get a runner to cover the top.
