Description
Spectracide Wasp & Hornet Killer aerosol eliminates wasp and hornet nests with a jet spray that reaches up to 27 feet. Use this product outdoors where insects live and breed. This product's powerful spray will also kill insects that return to the nest over the next few days. The non-staining formula can be used around most home siding depending on age and cleanliness (see product label for details). Also controls tent caterpillars, scorpions and ants. To control wasps, hornets and yellow jackets, spray at sunset when these insects are least active. Stand a safe distance from the nest - don't stand directly underneath. If it's windy, stand with the wind at your back to avoid spray drift. Spray the nest until soaked. Wait at least 24 hours before removing the nest. Do not use this product in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock hazard. Use of product on evergreen and holly is not recommended as damage may result.

My days of running down the street in a blood curdling scream is over! We've recently seen an uptick in wasp activity around the house. This spray has a long range and does the trick. I've tested it out from 20 feet away without having to run back in the house like a maniac. It works. My neighbor is a cop and informed me this should not be used on people.
Worthless product that does nothing . Bees arent phased by it .

Go for Raid, not this cheaper alternative

This only offered a temporary fix to keep the wasps away. The wasps came back after 24 hours. I switched to the Raid brand wasp and hornet spray (2 pack) and it did the job after using one can. The problem was that the wasp created a nest behind my siding. I didn’t see the actual nest but sprayed at it the nest, the best that I can. I sprayed some more after i noticed some came back to try and get to the nest. They died or flew away. Get the Raid brand two pack instead.

I sprayed a paper wasp with this and it squirmed and convulsed violently, obviously in great pain, so I sprayed it again so it was covered in foam. It continued to struggle and convulse for 4 min. I feel awful. I couldn’t go step on it to end its suffering because the rest of the nest I sprayed was agitated. I wanted dead on contact, not suffering. There are scientific studies that prove wasps can feel pain. This is a horrible horrible product.

I wish I had read the reviews before. Only 30% of users recommend this product. There's a reason for that. We went through three cans of this stuff and it did nothing. Nothing. Effectively wasting close to $20 on this stuff. What did work is repeated blasting the nest with our power washer and knocking it down with a super long pole that one might use for a swimming pool. Then piling on a pro-level wasp nest spray (made by the same manufacturer). To note, this nest was in the cornice of our two story house (25 ft up), 12 inches in diameter! There is no way this spray shoots up 27 ft. We shot the spray from our second story roof top; it barely made it. Perhaps this spray is good for low hanging, smaller nest, but not a chance with larger nest that are 12 feet out or more. The back of the can indicates a guarantee or your money back, and I will be writing away to ensure I get at least a partial refund. Save your receipt!

Does not kill on contact, does not kill the nest. I have used almost the entire can on a tiny nest, 1 tiny nest. And the wasps are just like “meh”.

It may kill the wasp but only if you use half the can and essentially drown it. I sprayed a wasp with a good amount of the can (cause i hate wasps) and the sucker still got up and walked away. Once its wings had dried up, it flew away so this spray definitely does not kill quickly if at all.

DID NOT KILL ON CONTACT!! i spray a group of wasp were forming a nest, i sprayed it and they fell off, on the ground, shook it off and WENT BACK!! i sprayed them a few times and each time they got back up. sprays good but that’s it lol

I just used this yesterday on a wasp nest over our front door. I shook the can and then stood back and pushed the button. The spray was thick and did not shoot out as far as it said it would. It ended up putting more spray on the side of the house than the wasp nest.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a can of this to try out and review. It was used outside and it did a great job ridding us of pests such as wasps. No problem with the wasps returning so far. Spray nozzle did not clog. No leaks.

Buy two, especially if you’re scared of hornets. You’ll find your finger just gets stuck pressing down to spray the nest/s and before you know it, it’s empty. Solid product; definitely works.

Can says it also works on yellow jackets, which it doesn’t. I saturated a spot on the house that has them flying in and out, and the next day the area was just as active with them as it had been before.
