The game can be played both inside or outside with rules that are simple, but a little different from the original game. We thought it was funny that we had to stretch across the whole board to move the giant tokens around the spaces. This version of monopoly is certainly fun to play. Everything is bigger. The board is bigger, the pieces are huge! A positive is you aren't going to lose anything, unlike the original game where there are so many small pieces that easily get lost. Quick to set up, the rules are simpler. It is 4 player max but that's usually how many people I play monopoly with anyhow. This game is geared towards families and kids as it is easier to play than traditional monopoly and maybe more visually appealing for a younger group. That being said, there is no reason why anyone into board games can't enjoy this game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the opportunity to try Giant Edition Monopoly, as a free product to review. FYI, I love board games! I have a large selection of games, including both regular and junior Monopoly, that way all of the age groups are covered. Giant Monopoly is for ages 6+, and was still a lot of fun to play for us thirty somethings! It’s faster game play than regular Monopoly, with 2-4 people playing in about thirty minutes. Everything about this game is giant! (We set it up on our bed instead of moving our coffee table out of the way in the living room.) The game “board” is a large, colourful plastic sheet, so it’ll also be perfect for playing outside on the lawn in warmer months. It comes with four tokens - the schnauzer, top hat, car and shoe. Each token has their own property cards and “Million Money Meter” which is a dial to keep track of your money, instead of dealing with paper money while you play. Took the first round for everyone to get over not having actual money, but once we did, the game was super fun! And because it’s so fast paced, it kept everyone involved. This is a great game to add to any board game collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monopoly brings back a lot of childhood memories with the family during holidays but I also can’t forget that the game would never end since we were all so competitive. A game could last 2-3 hours depending how many people were playing. This problem is solved with the new Monopoly giant edition as they changed the rules slightly to get the full experience in 30 minutes or less. The giant board, dice and tokens make this game even for fun for children and adults alike. This would also help to not lose children’s interest in the game. One big change is that there is no longer Monopoly money or a banker as you now can use the Million Money Meter. Also the most money you can make is capped at 14 which helps to make the game end sooner. The new rule of the game is that If you land on an empty property space, you MUST buy it. You then mark the space with the green side of your Property Card and when another player lands on the space, they pay you the amount shown on the gameboard using their Million Money Meter. They also have some additional rules if you want to stay in the game longer once your meter reaches zero. I enjoyed playing this game and would definitely recommend this to families with children between the ages of 6-12 who want their kids to experience the fun of monopoly. Monopoly has always been a family favourite and the giant board edition has made it all the better. The pieces are bigger too see and grip and with a bigger board it is now easier for the elderly who were having trouble seeing with the old board. The shorter game play time has made the game more inviting as previous versions of the game were not often chosen for games night due to the amount of time needed to complete the game. With the board now being waterproof I foresee a lot of Monopoly games at the beach next summer. This game is a keeper!

Looks just like the classic Monopoly board game, but in gigantic form. With a huge die and game pieces, players actively race around the gigantic vinyl game board. Contains Chance Cards and Property Cards. Can be played outdoors but the twist is with its speedy rules, you get to experience this game in under 30 minutes or can play the extended version. The trick is every time you land on a property space you must purchase it unless someone already owns it,then in that case you need to pay the amount shown on the gameboard to that player using a Million Money Meter. The player who has the most riches wins the game! For ages 6 and up. 2 to 4 players. Totally perfect for parties and outdoor fun like in your own backyard or in the park. Love it so much! Thank you Butterly and Spin Master for introducing us to this actively fun game!!!! There should be more active board games like this to get you moving!!!

I was very pleased with the quality of the pieces in the game. With the size of all the pieses we can take the game with us wherever we go and not have to worry about losing all the little pieces. It is simple to play so it is good for everyone to play. My eleven year old grandson loved it just as much as my 4 year old grandson. I can't wait for all of the fun memories that are going to be made around this giant board. Thank you for the opportunity to review this game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Giant edition Monoploy is really fun for the whole family to play. After a busy Christmas week, it was nice to stay in and play a game together. The kids thought it was a riot because of how big everything is compared to the regular Monoploy. I found this was a lot easier to keep everyone's interest compared to the regular game board, not having all the houses, apartments, indivual bills, and cards there is less for kids to get distracted besides the gigantic tokens and die. It only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish, and the player with the most money in the end wins just like the monopoly we all loved as a kid, except instead of cash, you get a money wheel to keep track of your millions.. I'm more likely to get this game out to play with the kids than the other because it's less set up, way less confusion and we can play actively in a fraction of the time without having to explain game rules over and over. It's easy to clean up and quite simple to understand. I love that there are no little pieces left to pick up and no play money to sort through! I would recommend it for ages 6 and all adults. We played indoors in our living room but it would be just as fun outdoors on a nice summer day. This game is slightly different than the original board game, with simpler rules for up to four players and can be completed within 30 minutes. This made it more enticing to the younger ones in our family. The large tokens were fun to move around on the board. We all had a blast taking turns and playing! And guess who was the first one eager to join the game? My nephew sort of felt like he was part of the board since everything was almost his size. LOL... The gameplay is slightly updated to allow for much quicker play, as long as 30 minutes a game. I have limited patience/attention span when it comes to games depending on the day, so this was absolutely ideal for me! It uses a giant vinyl mat as the game board, which folds back up into a thin, nearly nothing square. Because of the material, you can bring this along to play anywhere outdoors, even the beach. I can definitely see us pulling this out over the summer when we’re entertaining friends, or bring this along to a friend’s cottage or when we visit our family/friends with younger children. I think it could also be a very fun thing to play when having a backyard garden party. There aren’t many games that are so large and interactive, which can actually be played outdoors without compromising on game play. It’s a very cool and different way to play Monopoly. Received the Monopoly Board Game Giant Edition Game to play and provide my review. I like how this giant version of boardgame can be played both indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for 6+ years kids. Compared to the original Monopoly version, it says you can finish the game quickly (in 30 mins) with new simple speedy rules. However, it took us at least an hour to play. All the game pieces are larger with Giant Giant Die, Giant Token and Giant Gameboard, which is cool. Hope can play 2-6 players, but it has game pieces enough for 2-4 players only. Some of the important elements from the original Monopoly game were missing. Hope they provide money bills, not money tracker. No property Token and only one dice provided instead of 2. Overall, I am quite pleased with this version of Monopoly but really hope property tokens will be added.

I received the Monopoly Giant edition and am very pleased! I have 3 kids, ages 9.5 and 8 and they took it upon themselves to play the game themselves. Very easy and user friendly, with simple instructions that all can understand. They played for about a half hour and completely loved this new game. I enjoy the big pieces and the fact that this game could be played indoor or outdoor (due to the game board being waterproof). I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes monopoly and wants a quicker version of the game.
