A: Hi - the shade fabric does have some thread detailing to it, so you will get a slight pattern of lines when the shade is illuminated from within. It's a lovely color and will go well with a wide variety of lamp base styles. Thank you for the question!

It was a bit challenging to convert the lamp for the harp that was provided with the new shade because I needed to get additional parts to get the lamp ready but it was great that the shade came with the harp.
