I loved the way this nightstand looked but failed to read the reviews. BIG MISTAKE. When I built this nightstand, I remember getting a small headache, but I thought it was from having to build it myself (I'm not the most handy). However, later that night I noticed the TOXIC SMELL that came from this was unbearable. I had to remove this nightstand from my room around 3:00 AM because my head pounding and my throat was hurting from the harmful scent being released. My headache continued for days after inhaling this. I can't believe Target would put their customer's health at risk like this. It's completely unacceptable.

This had the look that I was going for so I took a chance even though the reviews are horrible. I knew I could easily return at target if I needed to. Well - I LOVE this nightstand! It was very easy to assemble and it’s pretty much flawless. The smell is real - I’ve had ours 6 days now and the smell is basically gone. So glad I took a chance with this one.

Love the design and style of this piece. Perfect size for a small area where you can't fit a larger night stand. It's sturdy and easy to assemble. I was able to do on my own. It would get 5 stars for design ease of assembly and price, but gave it 3 because of the quality of the finish on the top and seams where joints are, what is seen the most is not great. Paint looked cracked and uneven. I recomend only if you're willing to touch it up.

This dresser is really cute but the smell it has is awful. I really tried to air it out and I kept it for a month and a half, but it still smells as strong as the first day. The clothing I put inside of it reeked of formaldehyde or whatever chemical this smells like. I had to wash my clothes several times to get it out, and it has been giving me a headache every single day. My entire bedroom smells of this chemical. Not worth it, it’s cute I wish I could’ve made it work but it seems impossible. Returned it.

Super cute item, well made for the price (got on sale) BUT the fumes are unbearable. It was perfect for my bedroom, so I let it off-gas for 2 weeks in my garage/driveway - no luck. Reading reviews, I was hoping others received a "bad batch," but no luck. This is the FUMIEST piece of furniture I've ever gotten, borderline toxic. Wish I could recommend, but it's a NO.

The quality of this was just not up to par with my experience of Studio McGee. I wish they could have worked out but upon receiving the boxes and moving them (purchased 3 pieces including 2 nightstands and the larger dresser) our entry way reeked of an awful smell. Once opening one of the night stand boxes, I noticed many many imperfections to the point where I couldn’t justify even assembling it. We ended up boxing it back up and returning to the store.

I gave it two stars bc i love it but the toxic odor is a problem. I liked this night stand and was eyeing it for months. But due to all the reviews on the toxic odor I was super hesitant. I purchased something else from the same line and the odor was not that bad and went away so I ordered it. Came with no damage. Super easy to assemble, with no issues. I was happy with it but the odor is just toxic. This nightstand was in my bedroom right next to my bed and I had to remove it my entire bedroom was like walking into a paint can or worse it was nauseating. I hope to keep this but had to put it on my porch to air out. Could be days, weeks?? Hope not.

It looks beautiful, but the formaldehyde smell when opening the package almost knocked me over and gave me a massive migraine. After assembling them over a week ago, keeping fans blowing on them constantly, all the windows open, wiping them down with vinegar and sprinkling them with baking soda - it’s STILL off-gassing! It’s been over a week! I’m not sure what else to try to get rid of the smell. It’s so disappointing because it’s beautiful otherwise!

Target should take this product off the market. The toxic VOC's being emitted are horrific! Have been airing them out on my porch for days with no improvement. My car still stinks two days later after transporting them. Darling cute but horrible product. Please care about your customers health and take this product off of your website until you can fix the manufacturing problem.

These night stands are by FAR the best value for a 3-drawer nightstand that I could find anywhere. Excellent storage, and the rattan on the front provides extra detail and texture (many others I looked at literally had pritned rattan). The smell is still not gone, and I've had them for 3 months. Still planning to let them air out in the sun and see if that helps. If Target can figure out how to eliminate the smell, this product is a slam dunk.
