I used the plate to warm-up food for only 80 seconds in the microwave. I wanted to re-use it, so I wiped off the cheese-grease and the dye from the plate rubbed off. My concern is that trace amounts of dye is melting into my food as I use these overtime.

These plates are very sturdy. They are microwaveable and a perfect size for dessert, snacks, side dishes, etc. My family use these plates every day. We prefer them over our regular saucers.
