Q: I like the looks of this but need the dimensions. In particular I need to know the height of the sides (depth of bowl) as I intend to use this as part of a garden fountain. Also, is it really 200 oz?

LOVE THIS! So... Why I bought this? I wanted to have a large serving bowl for family and friend gatherings throughout the year. One that was versatile. This one is HUGE. I can easily fit 5 bags of salads (like the ones you buy in the grocery store) pre-packaged; Dole, Etc. How do I know? I tried it! It’s dishwasher safe, microwave safe and oven safe! It’s very heavy so I have to be careful because when washing, I did let it slip once. Thank god I didn’t crack it. If you’re going for a serving bowl for a small family, regular weeknight meal, it will be too large (doesn’t mean you can’t use it!). I love this though and for my needs, it’s everything I hoped for! You get what you pay for and for me I felt the price was fair (wish it were slightly lower which is why I rated this 4 stars and that’s my only reason) BUT it’ll last a long time! Quality over quantity. Happy holidays!

I purchased this bowl for a particular purpose and, unfortunately, I did not plan the size of my item. I was hoping to put a flan in the bowl and allow the depth of the bowl to hold the caramel that drips down the custard. The bowl is too deep for that purpose. It won't look the way I hoped, but I still think it's a very nice bowl for salads, rice dishes, snacks and other items. It's good looking.

This bowl is lovely. It is very large and heavy! It's a little too big for any dishes that we might serve a family of 5, so I returned and hope to get the next size smaller.
