I bought The precision 535 in 2020. It was my Covid exercise machine so I didn’t waste away in the house. I had broken my Knee earlier that year and was still building my quads. So after PT finished with me, I really needed to add to My workout to grow my strength. I’ve been using this reformer at least five days a week for 4 1/2 years. And it still works perfectly! The springs are just like when I bought them. They haven’t loosened at all! The padding is still the same on the foot bar as well as on the carriage. It feels like it’s still brand new. I bought several additions for it, including a box, a pull-up bar and an exercise mat to protect my floor. I’ve used it with the exercise mat on both wooden floors and carpeted floors and it works great. I didn’t feel it necessary to buy padded shoulder pads or padded straps or headrest. I do use a small, thick yoga pad on the foot bar just to protect my older heels. In the beginning, I noticed there was a little bit of obstruction with some of the plastic Inside the base where the foot bar inserts. I think it was there to strengthen the fixing of the bar. I tried to fix it, so it wasn’t an obstruction in several different ways, But eventually,. I just reached in with my fingers and removed it and everything worked fine. 🤷🏻♀️ I oiled the track once about 3 1/2 years ago because of squeaking. Never had to do it again. it made a little sound every now and again for the first year or so but I think once I broke it in, it stopped squeaking. I think the most difficult thing was measuring and length of my ropes/straps. And there was a couple times I had to adjust when they stretched a little as the knotts tightened. But I think I’ve adjusted them maybe three times in four years It’s my one go to exercise machine I really thought for the price that If I got a couple years out of it, I would be happy. Turns out I moved across the country and the one non-negotiable packing item was my reformer. It’s probably the best thing I bought for the money in the last three decades. I have no interest in replacing it or upgrading it for something more. It’s still like new in every way. I’m a little blown away by that. Really the best purchase ever! Highly recommend. And also, I put it together myself (I’m in my 60s) in about 40 minutes. I’m not much of a mechanical person either. It’s just really an awesome machine. Love that it folds and rolls. Great purchase.

Daughter purchased this about two years ago. I can do some things on this reformer but I really need it up off the floor a little. I have trouble getting up and down with my senior body. I realize there is no stand at least not yet. Why? Will box work on this reformer?

Hi JenRed, Unfortunately there is not a stand for the Precision Series Reformers. The AeroPilates Box will work with the 55-5535. If you need further assistance feel free to contact us at customer.care@staminaproducts.com.

Happy with my purchase for the price. It is definitely worth it even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the expensive model.

I've only had the machine for a couple of weeks, but so far I love it! It's well built and surprisingly small once folded. It's perfect for apartment living because it's quiet and sturdy. The wheels have been a bit squeaky at times, but some WD-40 resolves it quickly. The rebounder has been a pleasant surprise, as it's a much tougher ab workout than expected. I wish that there were more workout videos included with the machine though. There are a couple of basic introductory level videos, but for those of us looking to utilize this machine in place of a studio workout, some Intermediate/Advanced videos would be nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a older model premier because it had a nicer carriage. The new 535 is nice, like the wheels on the frame. But the ropes on the carriage wouldn’t stay fasten when in use. So returned it for a older model that worked.

So happy with this purchase! I am an instructor and due to studios being closed here in NYC I needed a way to practice at home and keep up with my routines. I am able to do this with the reformer 535 at a great price and keep in shape while I wait to get back into the studios!

Arrived on time,, undamaged and put together in about 45 mins. Very sturdy and well built, glad I went for this model. Folds up nicely and rolls pretty easy on it's wheels. Would recommend it for every level of Pilates training.

Recently upgraded to this new Pilates machine from Stamina products. We have had an earlier model, the Stamina Products JP4500, for around 15 years and the only thing we recently replaced were the rollers. Impressed with their reliability we ordered this product. We had a few minor issues primarily related to the shipment but Connie from customer service went above and beyond to address them to our complete satisfaction. The assembly of the product was relatively easy and I was able to complete it leisurely in about 45 minutes. All the tools are provided and the assembly instructions are clear. The product itself is great and compares very favorably to the professional equipment we use at the Gym, for a fraction of the price. In addition to the usual features this also has the Rebounder that gives you a great cardio workout. It comes with a work out wall poster (and videos) that are simple to do and exercise almost every part of your body including legs, abdominals, hips, obliques, thighs etc. In just a week of use my wife and I notice a significant improvement in our flexibility and muscle strength. The cushion pad is wider than what we had with the older model and very comfortable. We also bought the optional pull up bar and that provides even more exercise possibilities. It's not often that you get a great product that is matched with excellent customer service, particularly in these trying times. However this AeroPilates Reformer from Stamina is one of them.

I am able to do my workouts which is the reason for purchasing it. It's not as heavy duty as the one that I used to work on at a Pilates studio but it does the job, and I am very happy with it. I did need the silicone spray to prevent the screeching noise while using the machine. I like that it folds up too.

I teach mat and reformer Pilates but I’ve never been able to have a reformer at home because of space limitations. My husband and I live in a major city and space is at a bit of a premium in our loft condo. What attracted me to this reformer is the fact that it folds in half so that you have the option of putting it away in a closet when you have dinner guests or just don’t want a piece of exercise equipment being part of your everyday decor. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve and some exercises don’t work as easily on this machine as they would on a studio reformer because the dimensions of the foot bar, carriage and shoulder blocks are slightly different. However as I have gotten used to working with it over the last couple of months, I have found that simple modifications with spring tension and body placement can make most if not all traditional reformer exercises work on this machine. I also did have some issues with a really squeaky carriage with my first few workouts but a little silicone spray in the tracks immediately fixed the sound and made the machine glide much more smoothly. Even though there is a bit of a learning curve, I think this machine is a gem! It was absolutely the best choice for me at this point in time. I use it everyday and would absolutely recommend it to anyone with limited space who wants to practice reformer pilates at home.

I used to do the pilates floor routines, but couldnt get motivated to keep doing it over time. I’ve researched home reformers off and on for a few years now. After reading the reviews for this one I finally made my choice. Its well made with springs not cords, and it folds up. The wheels were a little squeaky, but I just wiped the tracks and wheels off with a dry rag, then put a small amout of coconut oil the length of the track. That seems to have stopped the noise. So far I love it and want to use it every day! They could have included a dvd video instead of just downloads to phone. That’s my only complaint. Someday if I wear it out I’d love to have the whole setup on a platform with a cadillac.
Exactly what I was looking for!

Let me start by saying that I was looking for a reasonably priced reformer that folds up for storage and uses real springs instead of cords. I searched for hours online, and this is the only one that met those specifications. I was a little hesitant at first because there weren't any reviews for it at the time I purchased it. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble and how well it works for the price! Now to get into the details... It was packaged well and nothing was damaged during shipping. It was super easy to assemble! You do need two people to unfold it since it is somewhat heavy, but after that you just screw in some knobs to attach the foot bar, shoulder pads, etc. The carriage is wide and actually quite long. I was worried because the foot bar doesn't adjust at all, but I am 5'9" with long legs and was much more comfortable doing foot work on this reformer than any I've used in a studio. I've done reformer Pilates in studios for years, and I find the four available springs provide more than enough resistance for what I need. A couple minor cons and things to watch out for (none of these bother me enough to reduce my 5-star rating though!): The carriage glides smoothly on the rails for the most part. I found it was catching a bit on the crease where the reformer folds up, but once I fixed the rope/straps to the correct length, I found I hardly ever go out that far with the carriage anyway. That being said, be sure to read the instructions and ensure your ropes/straps are at the right length! It was much better after I did that. There isn't a metal rod/hook to hold the straps, so I have to either put them on the floor next to the carriage or hook them around the shoulder pads which is uncomfortable on my shoulders. The shoulder pads aren't fully secured (you just pop them in the holes), so they occasionally pop off when I try to get the straps off them. Not a big deal; I just pop them back in. They haven't ever popped off mid-exercise. There is some noise when I move the carriage, but it mostly just sounds like new wheels on shiny new metal. I'm hoping it will go away with time, but it's really not that bothersome if it doesn't. Overall, now that I have it properly set up, it works very well for the exercises I need. For an inexpensive at home reformer that folds for storage and uses real springs, this one is absolutely fantastic! I'm so glad I bought it!

Easy to assemble and great space saving option. Little cheap feeling in places (straps and rope are low quality). Also, the carriage is so loud and squeaky as it moves.
