Description
A Real Workout
The Stamina|X Air Rower is for the person who is ready to take their workout and fitness to the extreme. Trainers widely recommend incorporating a row machine into your high-intensity workouts because rowing workouts increase your cardiovascular fitness and strengthen your entire body. In fact, both cardio and strength training are needed for an effective HIIT workout, and the Stamina X Air Rower is the solution for the cardio needs in many popular programs. So why spend the money and fight the crowds at the gym when you can bring the same elements of a commercial rower into your home at an affordable price?
Durable Construction for Comfortable Cardio
Stamina's engineers have designed the Stamina|X Air Rower to be just like you: tough and durable. The steel frame will hold strong during your hardest of workouts while the rowing chain keeps the air resistance coming as the fan spins inside the metal housing, automatically adjusting the resistance to your intensity. The molded seat allows you to push your workouts longer and longer while not being limited by sitting on an uncomfortable seat. You'll know that you're making progress with the real-time feedback from the multi-function monitor in key measurements - distance, calories burned, speed, time, number of strokes, and strokes per minute.
Supported by müüv
This product includes free access to müüv, the smart audio coaching app. müüv helps you move 500+ minutes per month with the right mix of cardio, strength, and flexibility for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. You'll get smart audio coaching that is personalized to you, progresses for you, and is fun to do. The all-in-one app comes with personalized workouts tailored to the equipment you own and an ad-free music listening experience from iHeartRadio. Download the müüv app on the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.
Fits Your Space
You don't need a dedicated home gym to have the convenience of getting a great workout at home. The Stamina|X Air Rower can be easily folded and rolled away into a corner or closet. But with this indoor rowing machine's sleek black and red design, we won't blame you if you want to leave it out for your friends to see.

The seat is just awful. I have complained about this before. People in the USA have large posteriors. This seat is way too small and vastly too hard to use for any length of time. I have resorted to using a pillow, which presents other issues. The seat is so skinny that if I lean just a little, the entire unit falls over! Then you find that the chain falls off! It is simply absurd how to get the chain back on. The whole thing would be solved if the builders welded in a simple "bar" over the chain to make it retain in the event of a fall. It takes an hour to finally get the chain back on. Ridiculous and a major design flaw in something so expensive. Next, the computer broke in just a few months. I gave up trying the only two ways the wires can fit, so I resorted to using a watch with a timer. Be aware of these issues, particularly the seat. These folks could have designed a proper seat years ago. The mould would not be that expensive over the life of the product line. Your butt will really ache if you use the seat for more than 30 minutes.

Hi Evad6363 aka Bad Wave, We appreciate your feedback regarding the 35-1405c that you have had for 8 years. We will forward the information regarding a more comfortable seat and a chain holder. This product should not be tipping or falling. Please check that the locking knob is through the fan arm and into the rail. If you experience this again please contact our Customer Care Team at customer.care@staminaproducts.com or by calling 1-800-375-7520 Monday-Thursday 7:30-5 or Friday 8-3 central. We are happy to help!

I bought this rower during the pandemic and it's been my go-to ever since. I never had any issues, even when I transported it from state to state when I moved. I only wish there were classes to take that can record my progress. It does have programs already but not what I was looking for but I still love this machine! I once considered the Concept 2, but this rower had the best price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent a solid researching rowers (from online reviews to customer opinions to pros/cons of water vs chain vs magnetic resistance). While a Concept 2 was desirable, the price was not! Finally, it was a informational video on Instagram by "trainingtall" that convinced me to go with chain/fan resistance rower. Sure, water rowers are quieter and have that soothing sound of rushing water, but you have to worry about (a) adding/removing water to change resistance, (b) make sure you use water conditioner to prevent mold and (c) the risk of eventual leaks. With a fan-based chain rower (as opposed to magnetic), there's no need for a variable settings because the level resistance is determined by how hard you pull. Sure, it's definitely louder but the wind generated by the fan is a welcome benefit for someone like me who tends to sweat more than most during exercise. The unit was very easy to assemble by myself and came with all of the parts and tools I needed. After a few minor seat adjustments to eliminate a slight wobble, I was ready to go in under 45 minutes. I like that the moveable, flexing foot rests have nylon pull straps rather than Velcro (which tends to wear out after extended use). The seat is comfortable and glides smoothly (back-and-forth) along the rail. I purchased an 8' exercise mat to go underneath after watching a YouTube workout video of the Stamina X on a bare floor and seeing how much it moved. With the mat, the rower stays put! I will agree with most of the reviews I've read - the LCD monitor is pretty basic and rudimentary. It's also at an angle that makes the screen very hard to read (even in bright light). I use it strictly for watching my stroke count and strokes per minute - which it does well. To monitor my heart rate and to get a more accurate assessment of calories burned, I wear a Polar H10 strap connected to an old phone (Velcro'd to the front of the rail (just below the LCD display). I've been using the rower for 3 weeks now and I've been very pleased. It's feels very solid and stable with no wobble whatsoever. I kind of wish the pull bar was a bit wider, but that's just me nitpicking!

I love my ATS 1405 rower. Honestly I wanted to buy a Concept 2 Rower, but the price said no. I use my 1405 rower nearly every day for 6K or 7.5K workout. I row briskly at <5 min per 1 K pace. My best 6K was 28.09 for 6K. I find 200M hits help keep my heart rate up. The only issue I have with the 1405 rower is that break the foot pedals every 4-6 months. Other than that the 1405 is a great budget rower.

BIG fan of this rower. It folds up nicely if you don't have much space for it, but it is also fairly small and condensed so you can fit it anywhere while it's unfolded. Super smooth pulls, great digital screen, easy setup. I highly recommend, especially for winter months when you can't leave the house, or with kids!

Good workout seems pretty sturdy, wish there was a way to adjust resistance, though the harder you pull, the greater the air resistance.

My husband bought this for my birthday(upon my request) and I LOVE IT! Does its job and is great for beginners, which I am. Easy on my knees and gave me a solid workout(shoulders, legs, arms and back all at once) The fan blowing on you is a big plus as well lol...

This is the best value out there if you don't want to spend over a thousand dollars. Really sleek design with a minimal footprint. Very sturdy frame and good quality (which is common with Stamina products). I think this will last a long time and love that it's a chain rower instead of a strap. Also, some internet reviews complain about the noise an air rower makes. I find the noise is satisfying and not that bad (it means I'm working out), also the flywheel from an air rower creates a fan effect which cools you off during your workout. You will not regret buying this beautiful and highly effective piece of equipment.

I wish the display would stay on one set of units instead is switching back and forth so I could keep track of my rpms better. The seat also is uncomfortable and digs into the back of my legs. Other than that, it is what I expected and works accordingly.

There’s only one level for this rower. HARD. I can do 20 min on the rower at the gym and walk away feeling it in my abs and legs and arms. On this one I couldn’t do more than 5 and only felt exhausted- not a good workout. The foot pedals are a poor design as well- the straps don’t go high enough for smaller feet (size 8 women’s) and they don’t rotate forward- so your foot has to be flexed up towards your calf when you pull forward which causes extra stress on your shins
Parts unavailable if anything breaks:(

The equipment was good and worked fine for about 6 months to be just out of warranty and then one of the rollers broke. That is still ok as its a small part and could be replaced easily. But the issue is with getting the part. It has been more than 4 months with 10s of emails and calls but the part has been out of stock making the rower useless for so long.

Great machine, well built, feels very rugged - provides a decent workout, but resistance on it is just ok, depending on how fast you plan on pulling, the better resistance, but not as much as I expected. Perhaps if an aftermarket adjustable damper that can be attached on exterior wheel frame to add resistance is available, this machine could compete with the big names normally found at the gyms. It is a very competent product.

I’m 6’1” 212. I fit fine on it gives me a great workout. I’m not going to be or ever will be a competitive rower, but this really does the job. I like the chain on the fly wheel. The seat is a little uncomfortable it it works.

Your basic entry level rower

I had purchased this product form the Shopping Channel. Here is my honest review of this product. It is a very basic rowing machine made in China. I bought it in case of another lock down with gyms clossed. It offers the user a fair rowing experience but does not compare with commercial grade rowers like the ones you find at the gym. It is very usful to own so you can get a full cardio workout at home with no impact. It is very easy to assable and fold in half in between uses. Unfortunately it has it's draw backs. If you are at a hight of 6 feet or more you will notice that the handles will be hitting your knees as you row. The base of the rower is designed to slope downwards on a slight angle in order to compensate for it's smaller size. You will need to adjust your grip and they way you use it in order to get the best use out of it. Again not your gym rower. Overall it is desent but the price point in my opion is high.
