Inspire creativity with Aquabeads Star Bead Studio, the original "stick with water" arts and crafts bead activity toy.
The Star Bead Studio set includes over 1,000 solid, jewel and star beads in 24 colors, star shaped bead case, double sided bead pen, flip tray set, sprayer, template sheets, and instructions. New star bead shapes add depth and dimension to your designs, for advanced bead creations!
Following the template design, use the bead pen to place the beads onto the flip tray to create your design. Don't worry about mistakes because you can pick up misplaced beads with the bead picker by sliding the trigger on the opposite end of the bead pen. Remove mistakenly placed beads by gently picking them up with the bead picker. Using the sprayer, spray water onto the beads to make them magically stick together! Simply flip the tray, placing the bead design onto the receiver. Continue to create new designs while the other designs dry.
Aquabeads was created by Epoch Co., Ltd. in 2004 as the original "stick with water" bead toy.
Aquabeads is suitable for girls and boys ages 4 and above. Not suitable for children under age 3 due to small parts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys have all loved playing with this star bead studio set! They used the instructions but found making their own designs brought even more fun. Just make sure you follow the directions exactly when it comes time to spray you design. We messed up the timing and one of the designs had to be thrown away, as you can not reuse the beads once wet. All in all we really enjoyed this. I enjoyed watching them play and they enjoyed all the cool designs they made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The star bead studio is a cool craft for kids. My 6 year old was frustrated trying to make something but my 12 year old really enjoyed it. The little balls are a little difficult to pick up and make a design. I even knocked a few off each time trying to add more. the case is cute and convenient to hold the opened beads. It was trial and error to adding the right amount of water to get them to stick together. But once we got it we made a bunch of things and the have stayed in tact almost a month later! I would definitely recommend for older children who want to bring their creativities to life.

I love how water is what binds the beads. No heat, or messy glue. When dried properly, the beads stay together and are pretty durable.Just make sure they are completely dried before moving! The case holds the majority of the beads and keeps everything organized and secured. You won’t be sorry getting this craft, my kids loved it!

The assembly of the beads with the patterns kept her busy for hours and seemed to be a great project to work with fine motor skills - which is always a plus for parents. To me, the best part was knowing that she could do this all by herself with just a little instructing at the beginning - no worries of having to deal with any chemicals or heat, just water to get the beads to stick together. The look of accomplishment on her face made it all worth it. Plus, the designs are just so adorable! This Star Bead Studio is definitely recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are brand new to the star beads and aquabeads brand so this has been an interesting experience for my five year old and I. I think this is a great set to work together with little kids and I feel it would be fun for older kids to tackle on their own, I love that everything is all included , even a spray bottle. I like that it uses water to adhere together which makes it easier for little ones. My son likes making the designs and just making his own creations too. I was a little nervous at first but this star bead studio has proved to be entertaining and not a messy nightmare like I had first imagined.

I only say light because she almost spilled the beads a few times which made me a little nervous. She was able to follow the templates and even got creative herself!

Sometimes if you spray too much or too little water it can be a little tricky for them to stay together. It takes practice. Definitely a great activity for my kiddos. It was trial and error at first with knowing how much water to spray but after a couple tries we got it down and now he is a pro at it! He loves the idea cards but also loves to make up his own stuff. I love to see him be able to use his imagination and create new stuff.

It was super easy that my 4 year old was able to put the beads on the mold by himself. He really loved it. We made a rainbow and a frog. I love that there is no equipment needed just the beads and water.
