TOS was originally supposed to run for five seasons but it was canceled after three seasons in 1969; however, a total of 79 episodes were aired! It must have been hard for Paramount movie studio and CBS to select the eight episodes on this DVD. We've only watched one episode but the sound and picture quality were excellent. The box set of the entire TOS series is quite pricey (and rightly so) but this compilation DVD is quite budget-friendly. Episodes: 1. The Corbomite Maneuver 2. The Conscience of the King 3. Balance of Terror 4. Space Seed 5. The City on the Edge of Forever 6. Mirror, Mirror 7. The Doomsday Machine 8. Return to Tomorrow
