The brand insists there isn't any sweetener, per se, and that is technically true. But it does have some kind of awful chemical aftertaste via the added "flavor" that's supposed to mimic the taste of sugar. I legitmately looked all over the box to see what kind of sweetener was added, but no, it's just whatever concontion of flavors that were added. If you enjoy the sensation of fake sugar, you'll love this. Not to mention the price was already a stretch. Should have stuck with the Veranda.

The taste is awful! Complete waste. I can’t even describe what’s wrong with it. I had such high hopes based on the flavor.

Wayyyy too sweet. The cinnamon flavor is lost as well as the actual coffee taste. Very disappointing. I now have a number of keurig cups I won’t use. Hopefully I can give them away to someone with a sweet tooth

I was super excited about this flavor and bought 3 boxes. Regret! Wasted money! it has some form of "natural flavor" that tastes like fake sugars which I am not supposed to drink. I will unfortunately have to donate the rest.

Sweet but Not Bad, not sure about fasting with it

I drink black coffee while intermittent fasting so a hint of flavor sometimes helps me get through. I agree with other reviewers that it although it does not taste bad, it is way too sweet. if there are sweeteners in this, I'd like to know for diet tracking purposes, even if they are 0-calorie.

Thanks for giving this blend a try! It's made with 100% arabica coffee and natural flavors. We do not add any sweeteners to the coffee. We hope this helps!
So sweet!

I'm amused by the Starbucks brand ambassador insisting there is no sweetener in this coffee. I always drink my coffee black and this is obviously sweetened. Yuck.

Very disappointed with this coffee as it clearly has an artificial sweetener of some sort. Terrible aftertaste. The ingredients don't mention this as I never would have bought it.

This was so bad that we couldn't even give it away. We finally just threw it out. It tastes like a mouthful of fake syrup- no coffee flavor.

Too sweet. I wish they stated sweetener was used. In the past they did have that info on kcups and they were terrible and I had to throw them out. I carefully read the pkg. this time and it was not listed, but I've come to find out you can call it natural flavor now. I won't trust you again to try more flavors. Why turn so many off of your quality brand name?
1 reply from Starbucks Brand Ambassador team - 30 days ago
Thanks for your feedback! The ingredients for this particular blend are simply ground arabica coffee and natural flavors. Adding sweeteners would require us to add a nutritional label to the product because we're required to label any significant nutritional values in the product, such as carbs & sugar. We hope this helps!

Flavor is horrendous like a chemical or artificial sugar after taste. If you buy this thinking it’ll taste remotely like Cinnamon Dolce you are sadly mistaken. Whoever made this flavor should seek another job field.

I bought the k cup type today and I am so disappointed because the overwhelming taste of sweetener. I'm sensitive to sweeteners due to migraines and I can't even finish my 1st cup. Going to have to find someone to take my box and finish it, too expensive to just toss it.

Tastes like Stevia

So disappointed. This tastes strongly of monkfruit or steevia, neither of which I tolerate well. Just because these are considered natural flavors doesn't mean people don't react to them. Had Starbucks been transparent about what was used to sweeten this, I would not have bought it. As is, I have a full box minus 1 pod that I need to find a way to get rid of.

The flavoring in this coffee has a sweet brown sugar note mixed with a finish of strong chemical goodness. The aftertaste is so artificial that I will not be ordering this coffee again.

I was looking forward to trying but I can distinctly taste artificial sweetener. It is not listed in the ingredients probably because it is under the "nature flavors" but I can taste it - it's there. So unfortunately will not be buying again.

I’m confused and frustrated as listened ingredients are “coffee, natural flavors”. Of no sugar, why does it taste way too sweet…no indication of “natural flavors” could be monk fruit or stevia, etc? Just really really unpleasant. I’m disappointed, Starbucks. This will probably go to the garbage, as even neighbors aren’t interested to try it. Starbucks, you can do better.
Sorry

To the diabetic- coffee raises your blood sugar even when drinking it black. It especially happens when taken. on an empty stomach. From a fellow T1D. It raises my glucose as much as a meal with insulin.

This coffee is way too sweet. It is like when they were mixing, they put in the brown sugar and then were like, “Did we add the brown sugar?” and then added some more sugar.
